I love my FX 30 - actual lab testing shows that its' dynamic range is the same as the FX3, and with a down-sampled 6K image it is actually a bit sharper than the FX3. As long as you don't need the high 12,800 ISO (and honestly I see very few situations where 2500 is not enough - or even a bump to 3200 is still very clean) the FX 30 can easily hold its' own or even surpass the FX 3 in image quality.

So glad you made a short video on the FX30. As an editor, I get to work with a lot of footage from different cameras, and lately, the FX30 has seriously caught my attention!

I agree. I've had my FX30 since it was released. Every day, I try to make up reasons to shoot something with it. I just love the footage I get out of it. Thanks for dropping this video. Now, I'm thinking, "What should I shoot tonight after work?" Cheers.

People dont believe me 😅 i shot it side by side with the fx3, the colors and textures are richer, less plastic as i found out, it has a less agressive denoiser than what Sony used to have..😅 also the af tracking is so much better, ibis too as stablising a small sensor is easier 😊 but fullframe brainwashing is too strong ! Am planning to get a6700 for fun because of that 😅

It also outputs at 4.7k to a ninja v+! A7siii outputs 4.2 k. Btw Sony announced that the next major firmware update to the a7siii will be in March 2024.

For me, the fx3 is still the preferred choice, the main reason is because the fx30 is a crop machine. I bought FX3 2 weeks ago

Yeah. I would still say that the Fx3 is the better camera - it’s priced higher for a reason. But the fx30 on its own is still great!

@RileyEndicott but that's the thing, the shots that impressed me the most were sunsets and the wheat fields, and how can you change that light when it's all dependent on nature? I feel like my a7s3 always overexposes the sun and underexposes the other parts but with you I could see it all it was stunning

*I'm learning 4K 60p and it looks AMAZING as compared to 24 and Still using Slog 3 I'm Just glad I decided to get this camera as it's all about Video with Photo being secondary and I have it paired with My Sigma 16mm and bought a kit lens for it and also a Cinema Lens for it too. But I love this Camera*
