Not chasing is why most people dont do gig work full time. I've done gig work full time before and everyday it felt like I had to go work because of how random the income can be. I'm glad with a W2, im paid well and do gig work for funny money on my days off. However if i wasn't an engineer I would do gig work full time because if ima get paid minimum wage i might was well do something flexible like gig apps. If a job doesnt pay more than 25 an hour then your better off doing gig work.

My problem with spark is that it’s an obvious Front loaded incentive model that uses daily, weekly, monthly delivery incentives that massively decrease overtime. After the incentives are gone, my experience is that so do the above average delivery payouts. What used to be a regular $25-30 a delivery payout became $12-15 for the same mileage. They hook you with above average earnings and then throw the bargain bin at you till you get fed up. It wasn’t sustainable for me after about 2 months of lowering incentives/delivery payouts. It basically became no different than the typical $2 base pay DD order with no tip, but w/ an average of 30 mins-1 hr pick up wait time. Gig work pays less than min wage mostly these days and it’s not worth it in general. Everyone should focus on a W2 tbh.
@Trixz2007Ай бұрын
Thisbis true I'm at 4k deliveries what was $30+ are now 50% less and incentives are just pointless atleast to me I can only do 4-5 orders a day no more back to back each hr like it use to be
@TheLastLineLiveАй бұрын
You’re right in that you can tell sometimes, but I have a few regulars that are among my best tippers but you’d never know it if you’re a 1st time deliverer there. My best tip I ever got was from someone with a huge mansion that easily could afford it, my 2nd best was someone that lived in a well worn trailer. People on government assistance need groceries too. Delivery of prepared food is a luxury but groceries that is something everybody needs.

@grandpasrandomreviewsАй бұрын
That $36 offer you showed was extremely good. I very rarely see any offer for that amount anymore. Base pay here is usually around $2.66 for curbsides for each order within an offer and $11 base pay for shop and delivers. Another bad experience you will encounter will be tip baiters. It isn't as frequent as it was but it still happens. As far as the customers using SNAP goes, they can tip but they have to order something that SNAP doesn't cover, then they can add a tip. On one more note, you'll drive less miles and make the same or more money using Spark,,,,told ya a couple of years ago....hahaha I am glad you are doing good with it there. Enjoy it while it lasts.

If you were on the app like 3 years back. You would be making a doctor's salary on Spark. When you were on that no tip no trip.phase. I was on Spark like naw that don't work on Spark. I rather just take the higher pay low mileage. Tip or no tip, but that for Spark only at the time. The food app I dropped it like in the beginning of this year. I didn't even update my insurance on Uber. I honestly don't see myself going back to DD/UE.

I would say that you have “selective patience” but I wouldn’t say you overall don’t have patience. Examples where you have patience would include your daughter, your girl, hitting goals. In some cases being patient ends up having the biggest payoff. Learn patience in areas that you don’t have it but know when someone or something is taking advantage of your time/patience. At that point it would make sense to loose or not have such patience anymore. 😉

It's all relative and all apps have their good and bad. I've seen the $15 for 13 stop and 40 mile GMDs, and I find Walmart Spark will surge the offer between their app and Uber which acts as a backup to what it takes to get the order out and delivered. I've also seen Walmart app put out a no tip $17 for 0.2 mile order for some car part that's virtually going across the street.

Walmart is subsidizing a shift in shopping. They don't want customers to enter their stores. When customers don't enter the stores they don't have to worry about them slipping and falling, stealing, or scamming them by pretending to get injured. They can free up floor space in their stores by turning entire stores into miniature distribution centers. And they can adjust prices based on individual factors like their shopping habits, how many units of each item they have in stock, etc.

Yeah most people that are poor stay poor because of stupid money decisions. I mean if you're going to get McDonald's go get it, why the hell are you going to pay a 20% up charge because you ordered it through DoorDash then pay about 10% more In DoorDash fees and then, if you are nice enough to do it, add a tip to that. Rich people don't spend their money on frivolous shit while they're on their way to getting rich and the poor don't make their way to the middle class by spending their money on stupid shit.
