I Was WRONG! Watch Market Update July 2020

A few months ago, I gave my two cents on the watch market. Now that we're in July, I have to admit that I was wrong! Let me know what you think in the comments.

The people buying these watches are so rich that they are mostly gonna be well off no matter what happens to the rest of the population.

Nice to see genuine passion for an art form, and really appreciate the expert content. An opinion on the economic front: These watches are assets that, by virtue of their price and lack of supply, are prime targets for cash safe havens in a time of economic hardship. Those who are wealthy enough compete with one another for the limited supply, with prices protected by the price of admission. Not unlike the very top end of the car market. You correctly identified that the world is, for the time being, awash with cash with nowhere to go, so, asset prices inflate. Middle class asset values are far more likely to fall prey to economic hardship. Greater supply, and a demand side that is far more likely to be hit by hard times than those who buy Journe or MB&F. "Ask three economists a question, you'll get three different answers."

Let’s hope this continues, I cannot see a booming economy with what is going on, I am still in the same view of the crisis will be bad. I hope I am wrong. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, all the negative comments below. 2020 is a crazy year, a lot of sadness but not all bad, Ying/Yang co-exist and the market is up for some brands as stated. dunno why the hate Hey a lot was wrong with COVID and other 2020 predictions crazy times... but glad you were happy to be wrong! Keep up the content, that Kari is wowza!

It sounds like this collecting has nothing to do with liking watches. All I hear you saying is trading and making money. I want watch knowledge. Tell me something about a Resonance that I don’t know. I want technicality. Throw your watches on a timegrapher and show us the numbers. Substance matters
