So the last rate cut, people felt it was almost too aggressive, and people thought they would cut further right away? I'm sorry, but the markets seem to do exactly what Powell says, since 2021. I just listen to what he says, and it's always right, and the market responds just the way he says. the 2021 bubble, we had such massive inflation in energy, pharma, insurance costs, that it felt like the most obvious failed rally of my life, and I called evveryone I knew and told them to sell. 30 people did not sell, and hated their 2022. You can't drain the tax systems, and funnel billions into energy pharma tech and insurance, and expect everyone to be able to afford fkn eggs sorry guys. Meanwhile...... crypto, is tethered to already burned off and consumed energy, wtf are you gonna power with that? human minds? yeah all crypto has done, is tie the voters financial instincts and reactions, to political content, period. I know mental scams when I smell them. vivikk is a literal known pharma pump scammer, until his "company" produces literally anything............

The real issues with deregulation go back to the Regan era. The deregulation back in the 80's set the stage for our current housing crisis and wealth inequality. I'm not an economist, but, strangely have had to be one, while trying to navigate this ever-increasingly lop-sided economy. As a gen X'er I can barely survive this economy, I will not stay silent as I see it is much more difficult for Millennials and gen "Z". Nobody wants pointless and bureaucracy, but, if there is anything government can do to serve it's citizens, it is well-considered regulation. We deal with regulation all the time, it might as well serve Americans.
@maddstaxx2 сағат бұрын
can you tell me the regulation that was put in place to prevent another collapse? i dont think you have any idea what you are talking about. i can tell you exactly which regulation was put in place to prevent another collapse and this particular regulation was not removed by Trump in his first presidency and it wont be removed in Trump's next 4 years and will likely stay in place forever.
@MurderMostFowl2 сағат бұрын
@@richardcraniumXLVII I'd say a little of column A, a little of column B.... Regulation could have easily prevented it, but that regulation was the Glass-Steagall Act which was repealed in 1999 by GLBA. The primary issue was how much leverage a bank/financial company was permitted use with their mortgages and then their poor lending practices, and indeed packaged up Mortgage backed securities. This was fine and all until the poor lending practices got so out of hand, the defaults on the mortgages within the packages were insanely skewed from what they were sold as. When you read about the way they were scoring the mortgages and packaging them, you could have sene it coming from a mile away, but people got greedy. ( I am not a banker or economist, but I have some insight in that I worked for a banking software company at the time and we refused to add the portfolio features some customers were wanting because it was way too risky and the aftermath of 2008 was all the talk at the company for at least a year ) Dodd-Frank solved this problem rather elegantly.... and was recently repealed. because "well, we promise we'll never do anything like THAT again"

The truth is, the role of an investment advisor can often be overlooked but should never be underestimated. After facing a significant portfolio loss in 2020 during the COVID pandemic while trying to manage my investments on my own, I decided to reach out to an investment advisor. At that time, I had about $126K left in my portfolio. Now, without having to lift a finger, I'm semi-retired, working only 7.5 hours a week, and I'm just 15% short of my $1 million retirement goal thanks to my subsequent investments.
