Boston was shell shocked? Did we even watched the same game. Celtics kept the composure, played well etc. Tatum & Brown never complained that much about calls they don't get. Same for Kyrie. Kyrie was headstrong this Game. A lot of inexperience in big games. Half the Mavs roster have never even played in the playoffs before this year. Celtics have a ton of playoff experience in big games. They've practically been in the ECF or the Finals almost every year since 2016, 17.

Defense wins championships and that's what we are currently witnessing. Jrue's and Brown's defence is why the Celtics have taken the lead by 3 and this finals is looking like a sweep

I love both teams and am just watching this series as a basketball fan. Love tatum, love brown, love luka, love kyrie and love watching sooo many players from both teams stepping up. Celtics DESERVE the win and tatum is right to say that even if they sweep people are still going to muddy their win. Luka himself deserves a ring but its not the time. I think we can all agree the entire post season has been electric to watch

welcome to the dark side haha glad you finally see the light. 4:57 that sequence you show is a huge reason. Mavs defensively just don’t rotate well and miss assignments. Boston being so deep they move well off the ball. Luka in particular gets a lot of uncontested rebounds hanging out by the rim after failing to rotate - much like his coach used to. In the time stamp you see what Boston does a lot to Luka. Show a screen but don’t set one - Luka overcommits to the switch he anticipates to not get beat. Then a Boston player shuns the screen going back side or away from the screen. Witb no screen set there’s no switch. And Luka doesn’t track his man. His usage rate is way too high unfortunately for what they need offensively . Hence why it was never Luka and Kyrie vs anyone. You need two way players for that. If he takes some possessions off offensively or is missing, you’d hope he does what Tatum has been doing which is compensate defensively. Boston is too deep. Playoff basketball everyone clamps down. Boston has an outright spark plug in Brown and an increasingly unpredictable scorer in Tatum. The threat of the latter draws defenses tremendously to collapse. He had 4 plays in the 3rd alone where he figured out if he could isolate a good matchup and start backing down at the 3pt line Mavs flocked over to help and Celtics literally swung the ball 3 times around for a wide open 3 it was ridiculous. I was wrong too i thought Tatum would wake up. He doesn’t even need to offensively but didn’t expect brown to take over the way he has.

I really couldn't understand why the Celtics were so overlooked the whole season. They had one of the most statistically dominant seaons of all time, got a lot better than they were last year, and addressed their weaknesses. Why people thought an unproven Luka and an aging Kyrie would demolish them is beyond me, but I'm glad it's all coming to light now.
