+Greenwood4727 As great as Freddie was as a singer he didn't sing it all. Brian May and Roger Taylor were great as well, with Roger being able to sing even higher (which can be heard here clearly, he's that one very high voice). Freddie only did sing everything in live shows, on record everybody except John Deacon was lead vocalist from time to time.

No. They're not. ""We Will Rock You" is a song written by Brian May and recorded by Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. Rolling Stone ranked it number 330 of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004, and it placed at number 146 on the Songs of the Century list in 2001. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Other than the last 30 seconds containing a guitar solo by May, the song is generally set in a cappella form, using only stomping and clapping as a rhythmic body percussion beat. In 1977, "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" were issued together as a worldwide top 10 single.[6] Soon after the album was released, many radio stations began playing the songs consecutively and without interruption."

If I ever get married this is already on the playlist for the reception!!! If not all of their stuff!!! Queen was like their own genre, they never fit in a mold so to speak so Freddie Mercury, the singer said screw it I'll make my own!! And they're still relevant after 50 some odd years or something like that!!! He always said, "I'm not going to be a rockstar, I'm going to be a Legend"!!! And he is!! R.I.P. Freddie!! We 💞 you! Sadly he passed away at 45 yrs old from complications from contracting AIDS😓 but the band still plays! As he said in the last song he ever finished, The Show Must Go On. But you should definitely check out "Somebody to Love" live @ Wembley stadium (I think it was) in1981!! He was such a performer and a beautiful person too!! You can also check out any of the Live Aid concerts they jammed at them all too!! I'm a new sub...cuz I just loved your reaction and the dancing n everything that was great!! Most ppl say this was the best song ever written!! P.s. they had no technology back then either so it's ALL them!! Oh! show must go on he recorded 6weeks before his passing...and Brian, the guitarist said he was so sick that he took him aside and said Fred, I don't think this is possible right now, Freddie replied; "I'll fucking do it, darling! Vodka down" went in the studio and slayed it!!!🌹🎶✌☝ Sorry for the history lesson lolol!!😂😂

Queen started recording this song August 24, 1975 all the technology we have today did not exist in 1975. The studios of the time only offered 24-track analog tape, it was necessary for the three to overdub themselves many times. Brian May (the guitarist) recalled placing a tape in front of the light and being able to see through it, as the tape had been used so many times. That is what makes this song a masterpiece. Love your reaction. It's great to see people enjoying this song 43 years after it was recorded. It really is a timeless song.

Not only were all members of the band gifted musically but they were pretty good academically. Freddie had a Diploma in Graphic Art from a London College Ealing. Roger Taylor (drummer) has a Batchelor of Science in Biology and studied Dentistry at the London Hospital Medical College. John Deacon(bass) has a 1st Class Honours Degree in Electronics. Brian May(lead guitar) has a PhD and a Doctorate of Astrophysics and recently worked on Stereo Imaging of Pluto at the John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory Maryland. These guys ROCK. "Mama just killed a man...Put a gun against his head pulled my trigger now hes dead." I think this was Freddies allegory about finally coming out and admitting he was gay. Something not easy to do back in the day. He killed the pretend straight guy(himself) and that guy was finished for good now and he wasn't sure and was worried of his mothers reaction to the news.

SpotFest….As a gay man I saw Freddie often in a gay club near me (he was quite unassuming, not at all big headed). His ex-girlfriend Mary Austin even told him that she thought he was gay. It was pretty common in those days to try to maintain a false front. It may have been that he and Mary had sex, but it's also perfectly possible that it was a relationship based on mutual need and respect rather than on sex. There is no doubt that thy were extremely close. I've seen plenty of interviews with Freddie where he teasingly plays with the gay stereotype and it's also true that his final relationship was with a man.
@spotfest7266
@spotfest7266 6 жыл бұрын
Oh no doubt about it but people over look the fact he was also attracted to woman. He was married to a man in his final years but that guy got a straight 1 million from Freddie's will as opposed to the hundred million Mary Austin got, She also got his estate. He said many times that she was the love of his life. He also had many relationships with woman over the years. I think its insulting to Freddie to say he was gay, He was a man that loved all that was beautiful be that men, women, art or music. He was so much more than this gay stereotype that he has became.

Allen Saunders That isn't a reasonably confirmed fact. Of course none of it is, but we have to view it at face value. The lyrics on the surface describe a man confessing to murder, leaving to serve hiw punishment, facing a trial, and being sent somewhere where he tries to fight off but ultimately fails and accepts fate. On the surface, this can easily either describe Prison or Hell.

A lot of people don't know that Freddie Mercury was born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar, Africa to a Zoroastrian practising family of Parsi descent which basically means they were from India but their ancestors were from Persia present day Iran. Mercury's father worked for the British Colonial Office in India and had moved to Zanzibar to continue working but when Civil War had broken out they used their British Citizenship to move to England. In a way it makes Mercury African, Asian and European.

THANK GOODNESS!! I’m not the only one!! I’m 54 years old. I have been a Queen fan since forever. All these years I’ve thought Freddie was saying that “Mama killed a man”. I only recently realized that he was TELLING mama that he killed a man. If the lyrics were “Hey Mama (pause), just killed a man”. So glad I am not the only person to “hear” it like that. 😀

His mama didn't pull the trigger, he did. Queen is known to be one of the most intelligent bands, ever. Brian May was working towards his PhD in Astronomy when Queen first started out.

Nice reaction - fun fact, his was the 1st song to have a music video! I guarantee you will know some Queen without realizing it - we will rock you, we are the champions etc. If you want more heat, check out Innuendo with lyrics - it's deeper than this one. If you want something fun - Somebody to Love - live in Montreal version is best.

I know it’s been called the first ever music video, but it’s hard to actually define these things,” shrugged May. “I know for a fact the Beatles made 35mm films of tracks - but ours was more like a mini-movie.” Read More: The Story of Queen's Iconic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Video | ultimateclassicrock.com/queen-bohemian-rhapsody-video/?trackback=tsmclip

It came out in 1975 on Queen's fourth studio album, A Night at the Opera. The lyric "Mama, just killed a man" does sound a little ambiguous but it's really meant to mean "Mama, I just killed a man". He did the killing, not his mom. It's hard to tell by the way he sings it, but there's technically a comma after "Mama".

The album "A Night at the Opera" came out in 1976 and "Bohemian Rhapsody" was one of the tracks on it. There is no autotune at all on this track, or any other by Queen, the vocal effects you hear are over dubs, sometimes many, many times over. While listening to this on vinyl or tape or CD or digital gives you a sense of their true talent, it pales in comparison to hearing it live. Only a small section of this song cannot be reproduced live, the "Mama Mia" section, where the stage went dark and they leave for that minute or so as the studio recording plays. I did get the chance to see them live, twice, at Madison Square Garden in 1980 & 1982.

Check out: "Keep Yourself Alive" "Don't Stop Me Now" "Under Pressure" and "Fat Bottom Girls." First time I saw them live was on 4/20/74 in Memphis, TN. They were the warm up band. A year later, they came back, same venue, as headliners. And performed "Bohemian Rhapsody." R.I.P. Freddie Mercury. Rock on & on Brian May & Roger Taylor.

Harmonies = singing together at different vocal levels - Bass (lowest), Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Soprano (highest).Yes, Queen had some great Harmonies. So did the Bee Gees, the Beach Boys and the Beatles.

IF this song was played at a wedding, they'd have to stop the ceremony until it finished because EVERYONE would be singing it (it's a fun song!), to include bride, groom and minister! Bohemian Rhapsody came out in 1975 or so, and has been a rock music classic ever since. An incredibly talented band ! Suggestion - I suggest you react to "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" by the band Primus. It's a funny song with a hilarious video. You can watch it for free on youtube.

Altos, Soprano, tenor, and bass are the four voices in music. When they bring it together they call it harmonizing. The lead singer is Freddie Mercury. He died in 1991 if Pneumonia caused by AIDS,

I think what you were looking for at about 3:16 was the word Alto. In a nutshell that corresponds to how high or low you sing. From highest to lowest it goes Soprano, Alto, Tenner, and Baritone. It can get more complicated than that with things Mezzo Soprano, but the basics are those four. Hope this helps.

You might want to listen again. All the voices you heard in the beginning were one voice, stacked vocals by Freddie Mercury, whose range was between 4 & 5 octaves. This song is widely considered the greatest in the history of rock. By the way, Freddie also wrote it and he was the one playing the piano and arguably the greatest frontman in rock.

Queen reaction? Instant sub! There are so many Queen songs that are incredible, they are all great singers, there are a few songs sung by Roger Taylor (the drummer) that are amazing (I'm in Love With My Car, for example), it's wild to watch him singing the song live while playing the drums as ell as he does. There are also a ton of songs that are awesome that sometimes get overlooked, "Death On Two Legs" (allegedly about their management), "Tenement Funster", actually I don't think there is a bad Queen song.
