I was still having nightmares the following christmas ha I work in TV now, and the engineer I work with helped with the titles/GFX for it months before it was broadcast. Oh yeah, you can also buy motion sensor lights so powerful the person will be momentarily blinded so you can see them and they can’t see you. We have 4 and place them strategically around our RV. If something approaches the light is triggered and we can see what’s out there. Might get you some of them-and a German Shepherd.

That's terrible that someone would destroy your tent. I couldn't believe all the snapping sounds, like someone was breaking branches. You need to put sensors & cameras, trail cameras etc.. around the area you camp at, that way if it is a person or persons you can turn them in for destroying your property. Take Care out there!! I have been in the same situation a few times. After someone tore down my tent on a trip, I started carrying a powerful flashlight and a night vision camera. This makes it more difficult for intruders to hide. Thanks for the exciting video 🙂

Red light is the best. It wont mess with your eyes like white or led lights do. If you have to use a light at all. Plus. It doesnt travel as far. So its good for stealth camping

At 2:35 if you slow the video down, you can clearly see a guy moving in the tree line just to the right over his tent. Moving from tree to tree and getting quite close at times to you and your tent. It seems he has some kind of mask on. Check it out, pretty creepy!!

You can slow down the playback speed of the video by hitting the "gear" icon. It'll give you the option to adjust how fast or slow you can watch. And man... I've gotta say... if you play it back during the time-lapse... as slowly as KZbin allows... there really IS someone wearing a mask in the background, going from tree to tree! Very creepy!

Im torn on believing this or not. A couple reasons why im thinking this way. First being the belief you were deep in the woods yet could see vehicles lights that passed by while you were in the tent , and then the fact you jumped out of the tent without a light to shine and see what or where the threat was either animal or human. Made me jump and genious way of keeping the suspense going during the video. Well done.

Just out of morbid curiosity, but have you thought of placing your trail cam directly above your tent facing down? Might be able to at least see who or what is bothering you at night... also, there is a way to use a cell phone to see the light your trail cam uses, that might be how you lost that one after the stranger showed at camp for tea...

You need some infrared motion sensing trail cams on the trees around the tent and some motion sensing lights facing outward from the tent. Plus you also need to invest in one of those ultra bright LED torch’s that light up like the sun - they are so bright you’d blind anyone you shine it at. Also some bear spray wouldn’t go amiss here, I think.

Gaz you defiantly need to invest in a good torch! going to places on your own and in the woods you always need a dam good torch with a good flood and throw of light. so you can see if anyone's out there. them torches you have are ok inside the tent but going out to see if anyone's there you need that brightness mate. its enough to make anyone out there know they can be seen! iv got the (OLIGHT SRMINI intimidator 2) and the (KLARUS g20) that are my main two ill take with me going outdoors. and a few more in case lol as iv many torches. and them sounds were creepy for sure going on outside your tent. i bet your arse was making sandcastles sat there hearing that lol and someone touching you that was crazy!! you defiantly need some torches lol thanks for sharing Gaz. 👍👍👍👍👍THUMBS UP👍👍👍👍👍 Anthony, Derby

I actually hike, backpack and camp in the Greater Yellowstone and Grand Teton areas. You need nerves of steel to do this where Grizzly and Black bear live and roam. Here the branch break could actually be bear or sasquatch! Loved the video...TERRIFYING!!! I enjoy your content as well as both yours and Fendel's personalities.

If you slow down the time lapse of the setting up you can see a bloke ten yards away in the background who Gaz would have clearly heard walking around. And, clearly someone put there hand on the top of the tent and pushed it down and he got out and ran off without saying anything lol! Gaz is not stupid and there’s no way he thinks that’s the wind bringing down branches. It’s obviously someone breaking branches and chucking them around the tent. Happy Halloween, buddy!

I have a german shepherd that does not get bothered by anything, and I've heard him bark a handful of times in the 2 years we've had him. He doesn't act like any dog I've known. He's super friendly and just wants to be everyones friend. Thankfully his older sister is complete opposite. She hates people and sounds like she would tear you apart, when she barks. This is just to say there ARE dogs that dont get bothered.

Whoever did that “tent touch” watched the Blair Witch one too many times cuz that was a straight replay from the movie, even when Gaz yelled and ran out into the darkness with the camera still rolling. If this was planned then I applaud y’all, cuz it got my heart rate going. If this was UNplanned….. I don’t know what or who I’d be scared of encountering more when camping, these kind of people or Dogman. Gaz, I know Dogman has been sighted in the UK but here in the states is a hot spot! I live in Oklahoma and I’m terrified of the woods here. My dad is up in Wisconsin, one of the states with the highest reported encounters with these creatures. I don’t know how you feel about firearms but if you ever choose that adventure I’d recommend taking one or five with you. I sure never leave city limits without mine lol my mom lives way out in the backwoods, and it’s within reach the whole time I’m driving to her house down those narrow dirt roads and even when I’m in her house. And I NEVER stay past sunset. We are Native American and she says we are protected. I even have a feather with lots of medicine in it hanging from my rear view mirror but I still don’t feel safe. Anyway, love the content! You got a new sub :)

Great video, Grizzly Gaz: For more of a realistic effect, a person wouldn't make that much noise, if they made any noise it would sound more like a deer walking through the woods. if there was really a person out there, your dog would be going ape and become extremely protective very fast.-Happy trails.

Glad your alright Gaz. Can you take away any lessons from this to prep for emergency situations like this? Maybe back up torches (I have five), keeping vital stuff like car keys on your body ... even some sort of weapon for self defence. I use basic GPS app on my phone open for navigation in the dark, as things can get confusing. You never know when disaster can strike and what it will be. Just some ideas.

Camping was great fun back in the day, but around the 90's UK started to change, & too many strange encounters made me & my pals all stop, preferring four brick walls. Nowadays reports of newcomers taking campers stuff & festival goers etc, too risky. Stay safe out there bud, oh & the dog.
