That being said, a kg of magnesium should be about 575 cubic centimeters, so if put in a cube it would be roughly 8,31cm tall, the one in the video seems larger, suggesting it's a magnesium alloy at best (or hollow inside). Or I'm bad at judging size on camera.

"The only downside of this is it's kinda sharp"... Dude... that is an oxidizer. Magnesium is famous for having a very low ignition point compared to its combustion temperature. The ignition point being the temperature needed to create a flame that continues after the ignition source is removed. For most materials they need a higher temperature to ignite, but will then burn slightly lower. For Magnesium the ignition point is roughly 600F, same temp wood burns at, but once ignited it soars to over 2000F combustion temperature, making a very bright white glow as it melts through anything it touches, AND because it is an oxidizer it will continue to burn even underwater. AKA... be careful and stop throwing around a thing that if it sparks on a surface could burn down your home... again.

I'm actually not making light of the fact Austin had his fire years ago. Be careful with that magnesium block. If you were to ever have a studio fire, god forbid... That magnesium would burn at a VERY high temperature that fire fighters wouldn't be able to extinguish. Magnesium, though more difficult to ignite in a solid cube light that, WILL burn at 5,600F and is considered highly flammable... and you guys work with a lot of electronic equipment that can cause a fire... I wouldn't keep that thing long term.

Okay... so... Almost everything today, even this Bone Phon is lying to you... that is NOT bone conduction... it is just a sealed speaker. But for real bone conduction... Bose developed a helmet that includes a microphone and speakers for use inside of Tanks. Which are notoriously loud. Now the speakers are just really good sealed, over-ear phones. But the microphone is a membrane that sits in direct contact with your forehead. It picks up the vibrations from your skull when you talk, and translates them into audible sound for the radio and in-vehicle coms. And it is absolutely amazing. You are inside something that is so loud you can barely think, but you can have a normal conversation using a true bone conducting microphone. But as a speaker is just a device that vibrates the air, and your ears hear vibrations... there is nothing really special about a sealed speaker.
