They pointed out at the beginning that the monsters were "armoured", so normally the bullets wouldn't hurt them. When the feedback happens they react to the intensity of the frequency by opening up their heads, leaving them vulnerable to the shot.

If you liked this film you should really check out Train to Busan. It’s a foreign film so there’s subtitles but it’s such a good story that you really forget your reading the whole time. It didn’t get as much praise in America as other foreign films do but it really should have. The cinematography was outstanding.

The reason why Jim told the daughter he always loved her is because she thought he didnt because she thought he blamed her for Billy, he wanted her to know before he died. Also he didnt hide with them because he wanted to distract the monster so it didnt find them.

the thing about the monsters is that it isn't sound that hurts them, i believe it was something electro magnetic?? which explains why the hearing aid hurt both the monsters and the daughter, and why the lights would flicker if there was a monster nearby. and why did one shot kill it?? cus the hearing aid hurts it to the point that it's armour opens up.

3:25 "They don't even have the right Monopoly pieces!" I've heard that brought up a couple times, that the sound of a plastic or metal game piece landing on the board in a basement would not be enough to attract a monster, so that change was unnecessary. But have you ever dropped a box full of Monopoly pieces? It's loud as hell. Not a problem with felt game pieces.

You seem to have missed a lot of points. The girl blames herself the the little boy dying because she gave the toy back to him after the dad took it away because it was too dangerous for him to have. The dad probably subconsciously does some too. The creatures are armored so guns and fire don't hurt them, at least not until the high pitched sound caused it to open it's head plates. The military didn't use this because no one knew about this fact until the girl discovers it. Yes the creatures are attracted by all sounds, but ambient sounds like the river and waterfall are all around you so the creatures, even if initially attracted by it would quickly get used to it and ignore it as a source of prey, so when they are near it it masks the sounds that the humans make. The old man had lost his wife had obviously gone a bit mad so wasn't thinking about the right thing to do apparently. And the dad sacrifices himself in the end because when you are a parent you will do anything you have to to protect your family.

Watch A Quite Place Part 2, it shows how it started and FUN FACT: The daughter is actually deaf in real life :D
@gabbiedoe63592 жыл бұрын
The little boy I assumed was deaf - the one who held the plane in the beginning. He wanted the batteries to make the jet "work," not realizing that it made sound as well. The newborn not crying as well when the mom shot the gun: I assumed that the newborn could be deaf - my friends have 4 children and 2 were born with the genetic condition that caused them to be born deaf. Total just assumptions here, but I figured that the toddler that passed away was deaf as well. Or maybe just a little kid who did not understand that the toy would make a loud sound. :(
