When I was little, I thought this film was boring because I didn’t understand it, but I watched it again and I really loved it. The romance between WALL-E and Eve is so heartwarming, and it takes the genre into a new direction by talking about things that little kids may not understand like pollution and destroying the earth with our habits. This is what I love about Pixar. They have tried to completely do away with the myopic ‘animation is for kids’ rhetoric. Wall-E deals with so much subtext and deep themes without feeling heavy-handed whatsoever.

When I was little this was actually one of my favourite movies. I don't think I really paid attention to the deeper stuff about pollution (although I think there was an understanding that they should have never let it get that bad) but I liked it because of the emotion. This movie made me feel more for two robots that barely speak than most other movies I had watched at the time, and I really liked that even if I didn't exactly know it

I love how you were so on the fence about WALL-E and Eve's relationship at first and by the end you were like, "ain't nothing gonna come between WALL-E and Eva!" Just like all of us 🥰😭 Also, the BnL stands for Buy n' Large, it's actually a big corporation behind the ship that they're on in the movie and can be found across Pixar movies if you pay attention. Also also, I really think you would enjoy the Road to El Dorado, it's an animated DreamWorks film that's right up your alley! #Bingers

Pixar knocked it WAY out of the park with this one. Kids love it because of fun robots and stuff, but this one has some really deep emotional stuff as well as a literal slap in the face to take care of what we got. The way I clicked on this video so fast…Wall-E is by far my fav Pixar movie. I saw it like 3 times in theaters. I’ve rewatched it dozens of times growing up, and only recently realized the symbolism of Auto, and the scene of the captain turning off “Autopilot,” symbolizing how they had been on “auto pilot” for hundreds of years and were finally ready to live instead of just survive. A quick note- when Wall-E opens his solar panels he’s not updating, he’s “charging” to keep himself running. Kind of like charging a cell phone.

I freaking love WALL-E. Crazy that it's been 15 years already since it was released. It holds up so well I think. The animations look great and the story still feels fresh, interesting and timely. Probably watched the movie about five times on its own over the years. And I think four times on a reaction channel. I still tear up sometimes. And I always love how WALL-E is shown to have such a curious mind, collecting things and caring for everything so deeply, falling in love so quickly. Also love how they portray the people on the Axiom having lost all of what I just said about that cute little robot but all it needs is a little nudge to start it back up.

I'm loving your choices, here! It's hard to go wrong with Pixar. Even their weakest effirts are still pretty good, but Wall-e is really one of their best! It's an impressive example of storytelling! You're halfway through the movie before anything like dialogue happens, yet you not only understand the story, you're engaged! This movie grabs you hard before anyone speaks! That's hard to do! Pixar does it with skill and style!. The main character only says 4 words ("Wall-e!", "Eve!", "Directive!", "Ta-daa!") But there's real anxiety when it looks like he's died! I'm glad I saw your watch for this one!

If you’re doing this kinds of movies, I have to plug a childhood favourite: Return To Oz. It’s old school, scary 80s PG. It holds nothing back when it comes to scaring kids. It’s also really well done. Also, for animated films, the Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under. The second film uses 2D CG, which looks pretty good. My only complaint is that it’s set in Australia but nobody has an Australian accent. It’s weird in that way, but still a great movie.

BNL is Buy N Large and it’s the global conglomerate that can be found across most if not all of the movies, dating as early as Toy Story. It’s one of the main reasons why people believe that all the Pixar movies are connected because you see the company becoming bigger in the background as time goes on. For example they are the ones purchasing houses in UP, including Carl’s, to develop buildings on the land. They’re the reason the pollution becomes so bad, which you see early evidence of this in the ocean in Finding Dory, it eventually leads to the Earth’s wasteland in WallE.

An Easter egg makes more sense, but if it were something as simple as that then it would be like the Luxo Ball or the Pizza Planet truck that have no impact on anything and are just fun to find. Pixar makes it a point to give BNL their own little background narrative as the corporation becomes bigger. Some things can simply be an Easter egg or a “reference” but in this case you’re wrong and that’s okay.

@@gurvmlk the crystals do not have one consistent, connecting storyline that develops and progresses with each movie, connecting them. Again, if you were comparing them to the Luxo Ball or the Pizza Planet truck or any character Easter egg then it would be the same, like Cid who is in every game but is clearly a different interpretation and design in each one so there’s no actual connection. That’s just a fun Easter egg and nothing more until the developers do something to connect them. Like Shinra from FX-2 possibly being a descendant from Shinra of F7. But the comparisons are not the same because every Final Fantasy game makes it a point to give the crystals their unique origin, designs, and function. BNL is the same in every single movie. It’s consistent. Same logo, same goal. The only thing that changes is its expanding power and influence in the background.

@@Lauren-zx3gx A consistent Easter Egg is still an Easter Egg. They're just making it more interesting than if it were to always be the same, or deviated it in ways that made less sense.

I like to imagine that the robot kiss is a memory transfer. The first time Eve "kissed" WALL-E, she copied his memory, the second time, she transferred it back. In this way, I believe that every memory in between the two kisses was lost forever.

I can’t believe you did not pick up that eve want dormant because of the plant. If you pay attention the green light was flashing a plant symbol and she was looking for something.

Literally packing to head to Disney Land tomorrow for the first time as I listen to this! Just put together my Disney bounded Wall-E outfit, he’s me fave!! I have Eve’s plant symbol tattooed on my wrist as a symbol for my passion for environmental sustainability, particularly low/zero waste policy.

I love your reactions! This one was especially good. If you get the chance, you should watch Hello Dolly!, the classic movie musical that WALL-E was so fond of. It's a super fun movie and Barbara Streisand absolutely kills in it.

The song at the beginning at the movie was actually from the movie “Hello Dolly” starring Barbara Streisand. I think you would like that movie although it is a musical… trust me… I think you would like Horace Vandergelder. My point is Wall-E likes Hello Dolly so you should watch it 😁 #bingers

i was never able to fully watch this movie until I was 13-14 because wall-e being so alone in the beginning made me extremely sad, he felt lonely and for some reason so did I watching it. Now I love it, good and important messaging ♥️

weird part to be a favorite in a movie i know, but i've always really loved how they did the end credits, watching the people get healthier as they take care of the earth, and how it gets greener and more beautiful, just makes me smile 🥲
