Yes! And like the ending should have had castle coming showing they succeeded and ended with Bridgette doing that dance she was working on. (Plus there was the song on the soundtrack so they easily could have added another song in the movie…) but I felt like it was incomplete at the end with how abruptly it ended!

No, she's not....shes still playing the same Cinderella. When the girls went back in time, it seemed so far away, but it was really only to the early 90's ....like 92-93.. You can tell by the way the kids were dressed, lol😆. The girls (who were supposed to be their moms) and the other kids at Marlin Academy were supposed to be Jr. High aged.. which is the period before the Roger and Hammersteins Cinderella. The character Cinderella was supposed to be 19 yrs old when Prince Charming figured out who she was and married her.

for the ages of the characters' real ages: Kylie (Red) was around 17-18 during filming, she's now 19. Malia (Chloe) was around 15-16 during filming, she's now 17. Ruby (Young Bridget) was around 16-17 during filming, she's now 18. Morgan (Young Cinderella) was around 21-22 during filming, she's now 23. i was genuinely shocked when i found out that they match their characters' ages. shows rarely use actors that are around the age of their character (makes sense for kissing & explicit scenes, but allowing viewers to watch alleged 16 year olds played by 20-30 year olds allude/have sex is a blurry morality line. topic for another time) and, while i knew the actors were young, i didn't know that they were this young. it's refreshing, to be honest!

remember in the beginning the queen of hearts mentions that when the prank was played ella was paying attention to prince charming to even care. So my opinion was that after the prank Bridgette (I don't know how to spell her name) felt betrayed by ella which is why she stopped wanting friendships which would be the point of the song love ain't it

My understanding is that this is considered a spinoff since it’s not really called Descendants 4: Rise of Red. It’s in the franchise but not part of the trilogy. I think the rise of red will become its own trilogy or duology. Personally I loved this movie especially since I love the actress Kylie who plays red. With that in mind that made me enjoy it more. The ending was a little rushed but I think it’s a setup to the next one. Some songs I love more than others but overall it’s still a good movie to me.

There are a couple of extended versions of the songs. 1.What's my name (Red Version) 2.Shuffle of love I personally like them and find it a shame they couldn't put the entirety of them in the movie. @MaddiGirl16 when Cinderella tries to talk to her about the prank the Queen of Hearts says something like "you didn't care, you were off with your prince". So I think the reason she blames her is because her only friend was busy dancing with Prince Charming and didn't stop it or comfort her. I think that's the real reason she changed not that they were mean to her but because she didn't have anyone there for her after it happened. Also Ella asked to go to the dance together as friends but then ends up spending time with Prince Charming instead. I think she may have felt like Cinderella ditched her. Not saying it's her fault but I think the queen of hearts took it that way and blames her.

Billy, Wonderland is from "Alice in Wonderland" it's the first book in a series, that Disney originally made an animated film after and then, more recently, made 2 live action flims based on the two books. The Queen of Hearts is the villain from that story. She's based off the Queen of Hearts in a deck of playing cards. You should definitely do videos reacting to the animation as well as both the live action Disney adaptations!! ❤❤

yeah the movie left me confused. there were a lot of plot holes. Mainly, if the book can't be used by an evil person, how did the girl do the prank in the first place? Lots of wasted potential, it could have been interesting seeing disney characters in high school but we only got a few, and I still don't understand why they couldn't do ursula instead of her sister. Edit: I also don't get how the fairy god mother is at shool and in the same grade as cinderella

At this point, I wouldn't mind if the timeline is already janky for some reason i.e. the Fairy Godmother being in the same school as Cinderella. As Jasmine and Aladdin being in the school, they should be in college.

I don't mind a few plot holes but the prank thing is the explanation given for Bridget switching to evil, which is a major part of the plot since it's the reason why the leads have to deal with time travel in the first place. I think they wasted time on things that don't really affect the plot and that's why it feels so rushed. And there were a few missed opportunities (like using a flashback to emphasize why Red doesn't like her mother. It didn't have to be graphic, but it could have the build up. I haven't read the book yet but I don't mind spoilers and that's how I know it can get dark) that would have added to the story. I'd rather them take their time than to rush. It might have even given fans time to adjust more to the change while they gave sneak peeks 😅

Plot holes are the least of this film's problems. It was awful. None of the epic dance numbers. This was a pale shadow of Descendants.

@@bjhearts5068 yeah but I think that as there is a part 2, my main problem should not exist (my main problem being the ending). The movie would have been so much better if they had a cliffhanger ending that shows how they messed up with the timeline. If I was writing these movies, I would have either : -make Red disappear because her mother didn't have her (as Bridget's personality changed, she won't fall for the same people) -make the girls think they stop the prank, and go back to the original timeline, only to find out that the one who did the prank was Cinderella for whatever reason (for instance, the villains would have offer to help her escape her stepfamily to go to the ball, and in exchange Cinderella do the prank for them, because they can't), and that they actually make things worst with some butterfly effect. As this movie was only a part 1, it would have been fine to have an ending like this, so part 2 can focus on how to resolve the issue.

this movie was so much campy fun and I loved it! ( the entire series is fabulously campy!) the queen of Hearts is the villain from Alice in wonderland- the animated classic came out in 1951. Chad was a character in the first 3 descendant movies he's cinderella's son. Uma is Ursula's daughter, not uliana's- in the original little mermaid franchise Ursula's sister's name is Morgana.

Oh, I almost forgot. I really think the sequel has already been filmed and that it will be a trilogy. The fandom is calling it the pocket watch trilogy, that unlike the first trilogy where each film had a different story with beginning, middle and end, this new trilogy would be parts of the same story. Descendants 4 the beginning, Descendants 5 the middle and Descendants 6 the end. Giving more chances to explore the history and consequences of this time travel that Red and Chloe made. I and a few other people in the fandom think that Cinderella was part of the original prank that turned Bridget into the tyrannical Queen of Hearts.

Personally, my fav of this franchise tbh. The others were kinda mid for me, found them more cringe than good 99% of the time (the songs were good, tho). The CGI was so much better, I prefered the new cast/characters a lot more and even the songs, tbh. The plot had some flaws, but I hope/think they will adresse it in the next movie. PS: My personal theory is that Ella did do something. Or someone "good" because the VK couldn't open the book in the OG timeline either.

Hope you feel 100% better soon. I watched this the night it came out. Queen of hearts is from Alice in wonderland. And the actress and actor who play Cinderella and king charming are who played Cinderella and Prince Charming from the Rodgers & Hammerstein Cinderella! And the girl playing Ursulas younger sis played Courtney in hsmtmts. It’s a good movie but nothing will beat the first descendants movie. I do love the time travel aspect of the movie! With the way they ended it with zooming in on uma I’m hoping that they don’t make her evil again bc we’ve been there been that already. That’s if they even make another one to begin with. My favorite character from this is the pink happy kind Bridget from the past when she was a teen.
