And I'm mad that I can't watch Star Command. I've waited 20 years only seeing the clips on the PS1 game and the film 'Pilot episodes' and all I'm getting is an 'origin film' next year. No dang it I want the stuff I missed due to not being able to receive the TV signal for Disney Channel for my entire life! I couldn't just stay at a friend's city house to watch it XD And they recently took it off the air BECAUSE of Disney+ here.

In "Cruella", they should've had one of the kidnapped dogs die of old age, because Dalmations live 10 - 13 years and it could've easily been that long since they killed Cruella's mom. Cruella, then could've looked at the dead dog and been, "Should I return it for burial? Or make it a coat? Coat." That way, we can see a snap, while keeping things "kid-friendly".

Being born in 1990, I can confirm that downside actually exists, although I guess I got lucky and grew up watching the original animated movie. Maybe the movie remake wasn't that popular in my country. Or my mum just got much more sense and raised me watching the original Disney. :)

Not only 100 different individual characters but 99% of the cast has spots! And those are known to be notoriously difficult to deal with in hand drawn animation. Pretty sure that’s part of the reason why the kids cartoon miraculous ladybug went for the CGI visual instead of hand drawn like it was originally advertised as to look like an anime because the spots were way too difficult to deal with

Cruella left me feeling like it was set in an alternate universe. The version of Ella we're left with would not become the Cruella that shows up in 101. That version of Jasper wouldn't help her kidnapp puppies to kill them. And Pongo and Peredita are related in this version, so...

In the original movie, if you look very closely, right before pongo turns the television off after the thunderbolt scene, there is an advertiser advertising something. Right as the TV goes off you can see him come out of his persona and look upset, as if he can actually tell that they were watching tv, but not long enough to listen to his pitch. And does anybody notice the pencil lines in certain scenes or is that just me?

I loved Cruella and the whole fashion part. But the two things wrong with it all stem from the Dalmatians. They gave her a reason you would think she’d hate them for. But then she end up not ever wanting to hurt them and ends up owning and caring for them towards the end. And that the other problem. The ending makes it suggest that Cruella gave the puppies one of those Dalmatians had to both Robert and Anita. Which if they are both from the same liter. That is suggesting that Pongo and Perdita are siblings. So I bet you can tell where the problem with that is. Maybe it would of made sense if she gave Anita one of the puppies because they were friends, sorta. And then show a scene were Robert found a Dalmatian pup on the street or at the pound to suggest they aren’t related.

I stopped watching your video when you got to the Cruella part just to go watch the movie on Disney+ so I could come back and know what you were talking about. Honestly I loved it and I think the choice to remove the part of Cruella's character where she kills dogs from Disney canon was a good one. Now I can love her because I love dogs and so does she. Though now it's implied that Perdita and Pongo are brother and sister and that's a bit concerning.

"Nanny" wasn't a Disney not understanding poverty thing, that's tying into the books where Anita and Roger both had a nanny growing up and the ladies both came to live with them when they got married. In both the cartoon and live action movies though it's implied that Anita is well off while Roger isn't, so Nanny came with her. The problem about Roger needing to get his big break though is because Anita doesn't have a job (in the Live Action because she got fired) so what money they did have wasn't replenishable. As for the review, I'd say your rankings are pretty spot on. And yeah, slapstick was kinda king in the 90s it seemed like. I can't tell you how many family films seem to boil down to "teehee mean person or bullies got hurt / the grump of the group should have seen that coming / uptight person ends up getting trashed or dunked or slobbered on because chaotic element of kids or pets has disrupted their life."

I do believe John Hughes who wrote home alone was involved with the 1996 remake. That’s the reason why towards the end it’s nothing but slapstick. But glenn close still is cruella to me. You can’t beat her performance
