Make sure you follow the "fillers" episode guide for Naruto and skip all the fillers. Also, the bear with the first arc of Naruto - which will be a little slow pace, but once it gets to the Chunnin Exams Arc - Naruto will get very very good...

I know it's early, but I would really suggest you don't watch the opening for Shippuden before reacting to it, they are quite a lot more of a spoiler than the ones in the original serie.

Having seen Naruto, Bleach and One Piece, I do think Naruto is the easiest to get into. But I do recommend to look up a list of all filler episodes and just skip those. Naruto has a filler percentage of 41%. They were only made because the anime was catching up too fast to the manga and they needed to buy time. If you wanna watch it all, go for it, but be warned that fillers usually are lower quality compared to the main story (and the same goes for Bleach, One Piece and all other long shounen anime)

Imagine if Naruto was made a decade later, and it was made more like modern anime where the seasons were allowed to be independently released with gaps in between, and there was no filler, and every episode had a high budget for animation.

Holy... That 3rd opening is an opening I completely forgot and when it started playing I just got flashbacks of my childhood. I used to sing it out loud before I learned japanese, thinking back at it, it was embarrassing, but nobody knows japanese where I'm from anyway, so it's all good. LMAO Fighting dreamers is probably the most iconic song of them outside Japan because it has english lyrics in the chorus. (I know it's called GO!!, but we call it Fighting Dreamers.)

You will definitely feel the age of the story (more so in how its delivered in the anime rather than its *actual* content) at times while doing this series, but you will also be pleasantly surprised by a lot of what this story actually tackles in terms of range specifically, from the most personal human interactions to the grander and more broad topics and themes it explores later on. It'll definitely be a journey and if you manage to find even a slight bit of the enjoyment i found watching this story from when i was a kid to almost the beginning of my adult years, you'll have a good time Robin.

The first one is nostalgic but the last one hits different vibes. It's sad but uplifting at the same time..the last one is always my favourite. Also they're called Big 3 because they're the top 3 best selling Manga in their Era nothing come close to them. 1:12 I grew up with Naruto on Toonami and was obsessed with it for a time, but there was a period of my childhood where I kind of fell off in interest. However I played the demo for Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 on 360 and it brought me all the way back in. From there I started watching Shippuden and even caught up to the manga, and would follow the manga for the next several years until it was finished.

A lot of the Naruto Shippuden OPs are more memorable, bit of recency bias, but fighting dreamers (#4 ) is a classic. However, I do love an english phrase that technically makes sense but is something a native english speaker would never say.

I don't think its the same case with Naruto (Where people love the 1st opening the most). Most people favors openings 2, 4, and 9 for Naruto season 1. Same deal with Naruto season 2 (Or naruto shippuden).

The best is #4 and the weakest is #3, imo OP 1 is a close second because I'm a huge sucker for those guitar riffs and percussion so endemic of that anime time period that has come and gone, never to return. Can't wait for you to check the Shippuden ones, it's more of a mixed bag but there's high highs and low lows. Perhaps you'll throw in Boruto in the mix as well? It's quite the contrast to the original ones

It is ok to question if show and character are called the same. OP2 (just awesome) - OP4 (silly and fun) - OP9 (unique one) - OP5 (best arc) - OP3 (emotional one) - OP1 (nostalgic one) - OP8 (its second song by Flow) - OP7 (on the boring side) - OP6 (fun but i don't like singer). I really like Naruto openings. Even last one is 6.5/10 for me.
