I love Reverse 1999 so much! The game overall is great from nice voice acting, fascinating story, amazing art and unique characters to great gacha and game mechanics. I've been playing since launch and I'm not stopping anywhere soon. So happy to see more people checking it out, reverse definitely deserves it~

To explain the Reverse, it can be called a storm that erases eras. With the characters,l you can get in game being those who are displaced due to the storm. Also, certain events happen during certain eras that aren't shown in the main story. With an event set in the 80s happening before the game's prologue, which is set in the 60s.

The voice acting and English translation in the game is hit or miss, but the art and aesthetics are gorgeous, and it has been well worth it.

Idk if you noticed yet but this game is representation done right (also its a play on history and culture. They take real historical events and modify it for the plot, amazing work honestly) 1.1 represents England I think? reminiscent of the FIFA Cup getting and it was retrieved by an actual dog named Pickles 1.2 represents America and its heavy inspiration on slasher films 1.3 represents India and its Diwali festival 1.4 represents Greece where they talk about Pythagoras and the philosophy behind numbers (which was also his belief) 1.5 represents Australia in an Olympic-type sports event 1.6 Is China 1.7 is Austria 1.8 is Russia They know what theyre doing.

Reverse:1999 has, hands down, the most CREATIVE character designs I have ever, ever seen in a gacha game❤ Each of the events is quite long (40 days, 20 days per half), and if you do all the content right away and rush through it in the first two days after it drops then you might find yourself bored inbetween patches, but it's possible to play the game more casually and enjoy each new patch's content over the course of the patch, I recommend that. I also appreciate that there's no relic/artifact farming in the game, it's only character-building with a little bit of "psychube" building (they are like Honkai Star Rail's light cones except are not restricted by character type, so much more freely used across multiple characters). The only issue is there's not enough material in the game to build EVERY character, which you absolutely will feel the urge to do. :)

Oh I remember 1999 it was sooo great on release. The dub voice acting is top notch like there are multiple voices in the game that sound amazing. The only sad thing is my favorite character will never become a playable character bcz of the player base during one of the first betas.

This game is such a blast to play, and the voice acting above and beyond to what i was used to making it all the more interesting. I strongly suggest u give it a go couse the story is very cool and every patch(exept 1.4, wich was main story focused) adds a all new event story wich is just as good as the main story so thats saying something :) I also love how u go to a different region of the world with each update and that the characters reflect that both in visuals as well as voice acting(french people speak french, indian speak Hindu, ect) making it very immersive. The game is also very free to play friendly so no need to spend if u don't want to.

As an enjoyer, you should play it, it's casual, but also competitive depending on how you wanna play the game. The more challenging game modes gives you character ascension items too but it doesn't give you character pulling currency, also if you're just a casual there's the auto mode that if you've already have your character built decently, you'll be able to skim through content like limited events like 1.5, you'll finish the story no problem. Unlike most gacha games where you have to use your pulling currency for both their weapons and characters, Reverse 1999 gives you weapons via rewards in events or a mode where you need to grind currency to get the weapons so it saves up your currency for charachters. The little events are fun and you get rewards like garments by just participating.

Let me explain you the story Main story: It's about an different world where humans and arcanists live together. Then a event called the Storm which happened at the last day of 1999 and it reversed time and we join Vertin, the timekeeper, she has a job to keep track of the timelines with Sonetto. About the Storm: Human are effected by the storm, and they disappeared or reversed and that those that survive get hallucinated by the Storm's hallucinations like when they got back to 1920, people see money and gold as food while real food is trash Manus Vindictae: A gamg of terrorists, i dont know anything about it they probably are the ones behind Storm Gameplay: You draw cards and each characters have different cards to draw and each has effects like some cards can attack the enemies, heal allies, support the team and more. You need to build up something called Moxie and if you get 5 moxie, the characters can use Ultimates which give more strong effects

I would implore you to actually check this game out. I would say I get more value out of the $5-10 a month I give Bluepoch than my Netflix subscription. Lots of wonderful and strange characters, with stories that will make you feel something. It's also unique as the only gacha that I know which is "meant" to be played in English. As in, the English dub is its original dub, even in China.

I played this on release, fantastic game.....nothing but high praises. Only reason i stopped playing is because i was playing too much games and couldn't keep up with them all. I had to male sacrifices 😢i kept playing Genshin because im already deeply invented in the story (and also monetarily invented 👀) so i deleted HSR and R99. If i ever feel like i habe more time, or get bored of Genshin, R99 is definitely my second choice

Hes going down the gacha rabbit hole, and yet realistically he will only properly have enough time to play one of them casually, each one of these games require a LOT of time each day to get enough resources and in-game progress to get the characters and items you need to get solid teams, or just bypass that time with HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of euros. though if he does streams where the money goes straight into the game so he can have fun with more characters, and get more out of it, then itll prove to be more of a business expense.

Heard about the game about 3 weeks before it dropped. Watched some of the CN server videos ands instantly fell in love with the aesthetics and have been playing it since Day 1. Best gacha game on the market IMO. 1.2 has been my favorite so far. As a big fan of old slasher movies, it hits the spot and the main theme of the patch is a fuckin banger.

This games vibe is soooo good. I love the story and voice acting. I just wish the game play was a little more exciting. It's a bit mmmm stale. Last as far as act 2 Iv not got gotten super far I just dabble mainly because I don't value Gatcha game monetization models at all they are all crooks and scams. The competition in the mobile space has drive them to be more quality focused which is good but they still know how to get peoples money somewhere.

I like the game i just dont like how the story handles some things, its the usual edgy story about hope and trauma i just dont like how for half of the story main protagonist is not there Tho voice acting carries hard at places the accents are soo good

Wdym half of the story the protagonist isnt there? Vertin is there the entire time, as for events they wre canon but not very related to the main story like journey to mor pankh and the theft of the remeit cup, vertin also appears at 2 event stories
