This was a fantastic overview to my favourite cartoon of all time ^^ The original Powerpuff Girls series is not only my favourite cartoon of all time but it was the show that made me fell in love with animation in the first place ^^ All the episodes with the girls and the Professor especially their heartwarming moments together really warms my heart and also made me cry with happiness every time ^^ My favourite episodes include Knock It Off, Meet The Beat Alls, Stray Bullet and Silent Treatment ^^ I also seen episodes of the anime and I thought it was pretty cool ^^ Great video as always ^^

I love OG series and the anime one, but it makes me funny how I didn't notice that PPGZ was an anime when I was a child until I was in Junior High School, because that explains a lot why I love magical girl series and transformation sequences cuz they are my first mahou shoujo anime series, (with Winx Club being my first approach to the magical girls' concept). I can also confirm that after spending many years being the nerdy student in the room there comes a time when you just want to have fun and being a fan of fantasy and cute things. Lovely video as always! However I do want to mention that, for the see me, feel me, gnomey me, there were two reason as to why it was banned. The first reason was for the flashing lights which caused concerned for seizures. The second reason was actually for the themes of capitalism vs communism not for religious themes. In the episode, the gnome can be seen as an allegory to Lenin and communism (red, roses, the fact that everyone is the “same” and lack individuality (aka a classless society), a worshipped leader,etc.) while the professors song is just a pro-capitalist view. I can do a whole analysis on this.

Now i get to throw my opinions in. The Gnomey episode is actually one of my favorites of all time. Of the anime the episodes when they tryna act like a mom to Ken individually. RowdyRuff boys were always great episodes. Honestly surprised me when I saw before it was the powerpuff girls they had the Whoop*** girls and the early green gang. Nice job working hard on the video

I love and hate that Power of Four exists. Like, Bliss exists and I love her, but her origin sucks so bad. Honestly, if the writers wanted to replace Bunny with Bliss, then maybe acknowledge Bunny's existence and have the PPG learn from that experience to redo a fourth member. I dislike the reboot because the girls cause more trouble than the villains do. They took a page out of Regular Show's book. In most episodes one of the PPG does something they aren't supposed to do and there monster in the 3rd act. Not very heroic. They also try to throw in a cheesy moral at the end of every episode. The best episodes of the reboot in my opinion. Stayover, Viral Spiral, Once Upon a Townsville, Professor Proof, and One Small Hiccup.

I’m still pissed that the live action PPG could’ve took the premise from PPGZ and just make the girls unrelated to each other and the professor and they all got their unique powers, what’s sweeter than a story about a growing sisterhood? Also yeah I absolutely hate Momoko/Z Blossom, its one of the reasons why it was hard to watch. I really don’t think its what the Girls would be like older, and Momoko is incredibly ooc to be Blossom. Blossom being the most underrated of the 3, its no surprise that there’s less hatred towards this change. Had it be Buttercup that loves sweet and is boy crazy (which would be in-character of her since she’s the only one to express any interest in boys) ppgz would’ve get more hate for that.

In HS and in college PPG was one of my all time favorite shows (still is too!) I remember being really excited for the movie, seeing it the week it came out. I even loved the anime (from what I watched.) Even owned the DS game at one time.. Even tho I sold it a while back... To add something as to why the film may have failed.. It all came down to two reasons, the lack of promotion even if they flooded tv with ads a month before release. Also the film was sandwiched between the live action scooby doo, Disney's Tarzan and it was the summer that gave us Spider Man.
