Some theaters around the country are showing the original 1978 Halloween. I went to watch it tonight..... and i had a horrible experience i thought i could never have with Halloween.

I'm late to the party here, but I had the pleasure of seeing Halloween on the big screen last October, just before I saw the release of the new film (which was crap) In the audience there were people laughing at the scene where Michael creeks open the door dressed as a ghost with Bob's glasses on, they too also laughed at Annie's murder, my friend quietly said 'What the fuck is funny about that?' I was like 'I know, we have assholes in the audience' There are scenes in other horror films that have mildly funny dialogue or humour that deserves a little quiet smirking or restrained chuckle but you get those odd morons that have to guffaw wildly at a film that essentially is dark and serious in its tone to the point that they are doing it delibrately. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. Good video!

Halloween 1-6 Producers cut are brilliant classics. Then they did horrible reboots like H20 and rob zombies shit and Halloween 2018 the worst of all

Tim Line yeah it sucks. It’s amazing how shit like that can just ruin the whole movie going experience. Honestly I believe the best way to watch horror films is to watch it in your home at night in the dark possibly by yourself. Your gonna get the best experience that way

The second you said i don't think Halloween isn't scary. Wow i wasn't expecting that. The people leaving, Fuck'em they missed a milestone in history. Now the being a bitch, on the phone, invading your space, Laughing at horror films, talking loud, I get that. That happend to me during Child's Play but i ignored them and had a damn good experience with the film. One of my favorite movies of all time, Batman (1989) played in one of my theaters earlier this year people had such a damn good time. I want to see the film and i hope i get a nice audience like i did with the 2018 film because people were having a good time and terrified during it so fingers crossed. I'm very sorry you had such a crap time with the audience.

They laughed at Annie because she couldn’t act to save her life. They laughed when Myers fell after getting stabbed in the neck because he kinda looked down like he was looking for something and then just fell like a sack of potatoes. Sorry but the movie is overrated as hell. It’s full of the dumbest characters and the goofiest kills. Michael has a free shot at Laurie twice and misses badly both times. The first time he rips her sleeve.. so she ends up falling head first over a railing and lands on the stairs below.. then she just gets up and runs away. LMAO! It’s a cartoon that’s why people laugh.

I am... what many consider a socially aware, sometimes they call me "woke" gay person who is passionately committed to expressing humanitarian points of view and leaving my mind open and receptive to different people, generations, ideas... BUT? I do think I would have stood up in that theater and shouted bloody murder at the people you are describing. The only horror film I've ever seen in the theater was the 2019 _Child's Play_ remake. There was a boyfriend and girlfriend behind me and they talked a few times during the movie. BUT we were the only ones in the theater. They were not distracting. They were mostly quiet. The problem... was that the stinkin' theater had removed all the speakers on the sides and in the back of the theater. So there was no surround sound. None whatsoever. For a 2019 film. I was not happy. That's actually the reason I don't go to the theater anymore. I never do. I would have to ask if they have speakers ALL around us... And what if one other theater did? Would they look at me like I was weird or something?

I feel that pain. They did not come to watch a movie...The came to txt on their phones and giggle. They wouldn't pay attention if you had a gun to their heads. And the inappropriate laughing? I remember when I saw Jurassic Park in theatres, they actually laughed when Tim got electrocuted by the fence....SO FUNNY!!!?????? H20, however, was a fantastic audience..They screamed at all the right parts, laughed appropriately, and even applauded when Laurie beheaded Michael.

You have no taste = I like the original 6 but I LOVE _Halloween H20,_ Rob Zombie's _H2,_ and I even like most of the 2018 movie. The sequels on the other hand, _Kills_ and _Ends_ that's another story.

Only the original franchise matters anyway. All these remakes and stuff like h20 and the RZ films and the trilogy are all just money making schemes done by people who clearly do not respect the horror genre or its fans. That is how it has been since the end of the 90s

@@robertpreston2220 The original franchise is what it is... but people don't even agree on H5, H6, or even H4 or _Season of the Witch._ So... I call bullshit. LITERALLY the reason we have the 1981 sequel is John Carpenter wanted to get a better paycheck than the first film. Creatively and artistically, he hates what he wrote for it and I'm told he even argued / debated director Rick Rosenthal on new ideas Rick wanted to do that sounded amazing and scary and really smart... John just said something like = keep it stupid, don't experiment. That sounds like a money making scheme if I've ever heard one. (AND I like the 1981 movie.)
