This film had a $25 million budget and Aliens had a $18 million dollar budget. Just shows what a phenomenal film maker Cameron is.

If you look closely at aliens you see a lot of shots are either grainy footage of the model town and the same interior shots at different angles, the last 15 minutes however is where that budget gets burned quick with the awesome alien queen puppet and power loader fight as well as bunch of different location shots. I think most of the budget on life force was also spent on inner city London. If you think about aliens only has a handful of actors on screen but life force had loads.

My initial comment was based on what I thought I remembered Patrick Stuart saying about Life Force and my latter one that I cannot judge his looks well (beyond saying that his not ugly anyway). I bought the shout factory Tin case Blu ray, love this film since my dad took me to see it back in the day. Dad was way into fantasy and sci-fi ( especially when boons were involved). Got to see so many films that are now considered epic thanks to him. Mathilda May will always be the perfect woman to me.

42:26 - It's a shame that the wardrobe is an American's interpretation/idea of what Brits were wearing, but I think that is what makes the flick quirky/endearing, idk someone let me know what you think. Wow, Matilda was just 18. I love how the movie takes very little from the book. 43:55 - I can totally hear the X-Men film theme when listening to the Lifeforce main theme now. I love when Timmy Partridge pops in to do a commentary and I enjoyed his take on this film.

I believe the version I saw was the international release because it only had Mancini's music and the original main title sequence (the panning over a rocky surface). I loved the music, but watching this film was like floating through a nightmare. It didn't scare me, but just the crazy camera movements, wide angle shots, and the dark color scheme just really made it hard to sit through. By the end of the film, I was surprised Peter Firth's character even survived the whole ordeal. What a mess!

Dirty Doctor Who is what they should call this flick. I kinda love it, and watched it because I saw the first review Oliver Harper did, cause it looked nuts. And I found it on KZbin of all places. Was a strange experience because at first I thought it was awful, then found it funny, then became intrigued and by the time the Prime Minister was eating his own secretary, I fell in love. We need more films willing to be this bonkers!
