social issues within comedy shows can be done so well if they're integrated right and it matches the plot episode and maybe even the main joke of the episode revolves around it. for example, in a show i love they use the plot point of the main character taking muffins from a seal to provide commentary on glorifying troops/patriotism (the seal is from the navy lmao) and because the plot itself is ridiculous, the message comes across in an arguably subtle way where it isn't jarring and it's just a good episode

i started watching the show because i used to think she was funny, and i was hoping she had still kept her charm. to be fair, at the time that i thought she was funny i was watching nothing else on youtube. not to mention that the only other form of comedy i was subjected to during this time "the big bang theory". so obviously, my standards were very low. well, the only feeling i felt while watching the show was frustration and irritation. not an ounce of joy. now if you were my therapist you might say i have grown into a skewed sense of humor. (i watch james marriott vidoes and laugh at his jokes, something is wrong there.) or you could say that i'm so jaded that simple humor no longer brings me joy, much like how nothing brings me joy. and to that i say, fuck you, i'm not paying you to judge me. i'm paying you to tell my doctor to prescribe me xanax so i can definitely not sell it to my peers. but we're off track. what i wanted to say here is, my disappointment is immeasurable and my life is ruined. (not that it wasn't already) and that is all thanks to liza koshy and the producers of her garbage pile she calls a "show", and if you read through this whole god damned thing. i sincerely apologize, and yes i am unemployed.
