The tragedy is that despite being victims of propaganda, one isnt immune to falling for it oneself. Toms worries about Robins intention were only based on newspaper articles and rumors about her. And who spread that info in the first place? Yeah... feels bad :(

To be fair, I don't think Tom's concerns were solely based off of potentially inaccurate rumours, so much as the simple reality that a person existing who COULD find the big scary death machine meant that there was always a chance they WOULD (willingly or not). Given how Tom was, I never thought of it as him making a moral judgement about someone, just taking it into account when considering how to handle his side of things (and how necessary it was to keep the plans). Thoguh Iceberg clearly took it a little differently. For....understandable reasons. Lol.

yeah, iceberg didn't really misunderstand tom. THough we don't know how tom personally felt about robin, both he and iceberg completely beleived in the posibility that 'the devil of ohara' would revive the ancient weapon. This despite the fact iceberg also distrusted the government. The mere fact she had the ABILITY to this made her a danger in their minds. Its very unfortunate, as if they had ditrusted the government more maybe they wouldn't have even needed to bother with this skullduggery.
