Given the number of abandoned asylums around, and even abandoned hospitals, it seems likely that she could make it happen in Canada, though I'm not sure where she's at in the country. Obviously, she'd need a power bank to run things for the reaction, but if it only has to last a few hours, it ought to be fine. The key is actually convincing her to step foot into an abandoned building, and then stepping foot into the empty abandoned morgue in said building. I agree, though. It would be amazing to have her react to that film in an old abandoned morgue.

I remember the first time I watched this movie. It was October, it was dark, and I was laying on the sofa watching it on Netflix on my laptop, which was sitting on my belly. I didn't hear my roommate coming home. He walked up behind me and asked "Whatcha watching?" I swear I jumped about two feet up off of the sofa. It was right during one of those suspenseful scenes where Ethan Hawke was searching for the source of a strange noise too, so I was already on edge.

I have a suggestion, if you’ll indulge me for a wee moment. I imagine you’re familiar with the notion of ‘method acting’, where the actor takes steps to become intimately acquainted with the mind and motivations of their character; to ‘inhabit the role’, as it were. Perhaps what you’re doing - ‘Jaws’ on the water, ‘The Blair Witch Project’ in the woods and now ‘Sinister’ in the attic - could be called ‘method REacting’. Copyright it. Slap it on some merch. Take over the world. (And if you find yourself struggling to set up a ‘method reacting’ video, you can always fall back on the 1980s horror comedy ‘House’. Shouldn’t be too hard to arrange.)
@alyxgriffen50738 күн бұрын
*The Changeling* and *Exorcist 3* (NOT E2) would also be great "method reacting* movies for watching in your house/attic/etc. And they are both great older scary movies that do not get nearly enough recognition.

I watch a lot of reactions and this channel is very unique with some reactions being on location! Credit where it's due this is very ballsey! When you start ramping up the horror and start watching asian horror films (there is no way you will do this) there is a film called 'Gonjiam Haunted Asylum', if you watched that film from the real asylum or a haunted building that would be unreal. The asylum is one of the most haunted places in Korea. There are videos on KZbin of people going through the real Asylum in the film (Why on earth someone would do this after watching that film I don't know).

truly, you are so entertaining. i saw this movie years ago and i will never be able to truly be drawn in because of the deliberate LACK OF LIGHT. seriously, is there a lack of bulbs and light switches on the main floors? i can kind of accept the attic being poorly lit. but COME ONE. or does the dad merely have an inability to locate light switches and flip them on? but he can find a baseball bat easily? i absolutely LOVE atmospheric movies when sensibly presented. this one is not sensibly presented. we all know the house has electricity; and this relies much too heavily on jump scares in the dark.

This movie has one of the best creepy jump scares in movie history. I rank the lawn mowing scene right up there with the Exorcist III scene. Those who know will understand.
@vincentdarkrosrayne7 күн бұрын
top 3: 1. Haunting of Hill house (iykyk) 2. Sinister (lawn mower) 3. The Ring (I Saw Her Face) honorable mention. The Conjuring (The Clap Game) most other big jumpscares just involve something running at or towards the camera. it instinctually makes people tense up and jump because of the illusion that something is coming at you. and a LOT of games and movies have found that out and abusing it. it's basically the new loud noise type of jump scare. so i don't really count those.
