Just some context! If you read this that is lol, but tweek and Craig are ACTUALLY gay not necessarily “gaslit” into it, after the talk he had with his dad Craig goes to tweek and that basically established their real relationship and in episodes after this they call each other honey and babe and overall develop their relationship and in the South Park special when they’re all adults Tweek and Craig are implied to be married! Also, in interviews the creators of South Park (Matt and Trey) Have said that their relationship isn’t a joke and that the point wasn’t to make fun of them but to JUSY have that fun silly dynamic and that the relationship is in fact very real!
@beepbeepboopbop14254 ай бұрын
Nahhh they were gaslit into being gay. They weren't gay. People basically forced them to be gay, and when they said they weren't they'd be asked "there's nothing srong with being gay what's wrong with that?" The same way people are gaslit into bein gay these days, and you're being a part of it.
@kysfggt3 ай бұрын
wait, they actually made them gay.... that's some horseshiet
@inkytheartist5 ай бұрын
so i'm pretty sure that Matt and Trey, the creators of SP, asked the fans which ship they want to be in the show and they made that canon, and all the art in the episode is art from the actual fans. for 10:31 (mild spoilers ahead?) yes, Tweek and Craig started out pretending but then they genuinely fell in love and became one of the healthiest couples in the entire show, if not the most healthy one. it's true SP is controversial satire, which might make one think they'd make fun of minorities and people who are different, but the show is way more progressive that people give it credit for. apart from the lgbt rep, they also have genuinely fleshed out and lovable disabled characters:) as for Tolkien, the black kid, he's very well written too and definitely one of my favourites, i think you'd like him:)
@SylvaGardenia5 ай бұрын
What happened was Matt and Trey learned of the fans pairing Craig and Tweek together online (though I don't remember the specifics on how at the moment, I know Johnny2Cellos made a video detailing it), and fell down the yaoi rabbit hole a bit. They decided to make the episode and asked for fans to send in their art.

South park is one of those shows you do not need to watch in order. There are some exceptions of course to that but for the most part 90% of the episodes can be watch in any order.
@erickthomas3255 ай бұрын
CAP! It’s one of those shows you SHOULD watch in order more so than every other 30 minute show on television! If you want the maximum enjoyment or to understand half of the extended storylines. That said you don’t to, to still enjoy it. It’s just not as good. Every episode is still excellent standalone! All the people that say and agree with this only say it because they don’t wanna watch you watch season one through four. Or because they don’t wanna wait for you to get to their favorite episode in season 20 or whatever. Like this one. Every confused moment you have watching this so is because you haven’t seen the previous episodes. Just sayin’!

South Park are the Grandfathers of Dark Humor Cartoons, They play off satirical jokes and stupidest situations to make it more serious than it is. Everytime South Park makes a joke, it's 100X funnier than if any other person would tell it. You should really dwell into the show now since the show has been running for almost 27 years (seasons) straight and there is a lot of gems to pick out, specially from the 2000's and 2010's South Park.

Tweek's dad runs a coffee business, and part of the reason Tweek is so unsettled and stuff all the time is because it's confirmed in one of the games that his dad actually puts meth in his coffee because he's a discreet drug dealer who puts drugs in the coffee he sells. Also Tweek's parents are actually pretty abusive, so the fact they show love for their son simply for being gay is pretty messed up, but it goes to show how glorified people treat others who are LGBT. And I'm not saying that as a bad thing, I'm just saying that gay people want to be seen as no different than anyone else, but alot of people treat them like they're something to idolize and stuff, y'know? Which is shown in this episode by the entire town shipping Tweek and Craig together simply because they're believed to be gay and they've apparently never had gay children in their town before. But since you've seen the Put It Down episode, I'd like to confirm that, yes, they are actually in a genuine relationship now. Craig is implied to be homosexual (or bisexual), but because his dad is homophobic, those ideals left him pushing that side of himself away and becoming defensive. Meanwhile Tweek develops feelings for Craig because Craig actually showed him genuine support and made him feel like he could do things for himself for the first time. Craig supported Tweek and encouraged him in a way Tweek has never gotten from anyone else, and so he was drawn to that part of Craig. However, in the end, when Craig's dad accepted the idea of his son being gay and supported him openly, Craig chose to go back to Tweek and be with him. So they are official, and they both feel for each other. It's just easy to miss the true meaning of their characters sometimes.

I’m happy for Tweek & Craig, and the reoccurring bit of people showing Craig “support” by giving him money is funny. But I will say, the one thing about this episode that’s bad, was the creators using…”fan-art” of them in the episode. One Twitch comment was right to mention, we’re still talking about two middle schoolers, so some of the lewder fan submissions are just flat-out CP. I know South Park includes a lot of foul ish for shock factor, but I believe we could’ve gone without that. 🫤 I realize it was probably kids drawing this stuff, but it’s still concerning, and the one thing I don’t like about this episode.
