There’s a lot of reasons Sam is the way she is. She didn’t have much of a childhood, a terrible mother, and her friend Carly was the only one that knows how to “control” her. There is an episode of Sam and Cat where Sam is actually kind to Cat, b/c she’s actually trying to be nice in the way she knew how. It’s called #YayDay, and it explains a lot. Not to mention it’s only a comedy and there are many ways how comedy is run, like in “Friends” they are extremely mean to each other but that means “love” to them. It’s not the best way of doing things, but it’s how it is.

Sam has a history of taking pranks too far. Like when she put a dead fish in Freddie's locker, so Freddie handcuffed her to Gibby, then she decided to tell the ENTIRE world that Freddie has never kissed a girl (after he privately told Carly that), mind you she both physically and verbally abuses Freddie in almost every episode before and after this. Sam is just not a good person, and there's no excuse for her actions. She goes way too far and never knows when to stop. Somebody should be there to correct her behavior, like Carly especially should've.

It's different if Bugs bunny is hitting Elmer with a hammer than Sam hitting Freddie in a brutal way. They deserve it, they're the bad guys and try to get rid of bugs or the other looney tunes characters. But with Freddie? He's like the most saint and innocent character in all of iCarly and he gets the most beating. It's played as jokes while it's just hurtful to watch. Also these are real actors and that's why I feel even more sorry.

Sam is... quite the character... She can be quite lazy and glutonous (seriously, she has quite the appetite) and she has quite the temper. She is the first to jump on to violence... and she even has a weapon of choice: a sock filled with butter. And she is capable of taking down people who are much bigger than her with quite easiness. But despite her tough exterior, Sam is actually quite caring to her friends. If someone disrespects or hurts them... well, they better watch out and sleep with an open eye, because Sam always delivers her vengence. Meanwhile, her twin sister Melany is the total opposite of Sam, being well-mannered, nice and girly, but, despite that, they get along well.

Yeah. There should be an episode where she realised how wrong her actions are. Imagine she hurts Freddie so much that he can't be able to walk anymore and that's all thanks to Sam. And then Sam realises how much she hurt him and regrets her past actions, cause she does care for him but most of the time it's just abuse. So seeing a episode where Freddie gets a serious injury and Sam realising how brutal and awful she is would make her character so much better. But it's Nickelodeon and not Disney channel and we all know that almost no Nickelodeon character really gets an character development.

Sam was consistently my least favourite part of both iCarly & Sam&Cat (not McCurdy's fault, very much the writing), i just cant stand characters who are that mean to so called friends & use bullying as their "act of love". also maddening the amount of fried food Schneider had Sam consume in that show, all while he contributed to the actor's real life eating disorder with snide comments.

Yeah. I hate these bullies that act awful to they're friends characters, just for the laugh. Atleast with Jade it wasn't really they're friends. She only was with Beck and André and wasn't that mean to them. But with Sam? She was constantly mean and abusive her best friend and later her Loverboy. And even when they were a couple, she still was hurting him. He probably got a lot of bruises on his arms and legs. I just can't stand these type of characters. Also the worst part, she gets away with it. While Freddie gets punished gro nothing! Especially in iPear store and iMeetFred!

This show was...lackluster at best. And it was all due to the executives ruining what made their standalone properties so good. Combining two characters who would have no chemistry to begin with was already on the wrong direction but coupled with the troubled production of the writing scripts derivative of other shows on a whim and how they were filming upwards past midnight to compensate for missing days due to Ariana's exploding career and how DS was not being disciplined properly because he was too profitable for the network. But things really took an awful turn when Jennette's resentment for the network was only growing and the straw that broke the camel's back was the SH allegation over one producer, and the executives were just way too pompous to work a show like this how a normal person would. I'm proud Jennette's found true respect by others now who see just her NOT her character.
