Plus, the other one is where you get to see them the one I was talking about when I left my comment two hours ago plus I totally prefer the other Veruca Salt and the other one because then it just makes this movie look more cool like no offense to whoever played as like Veruca Salt the movie or in this one it’s just because like I think she’s an adult now and I don’t remember her name because it’s been a long time. That’s the only other reason why and why they need to like put her in different movies but just for like the fun of it though even though she did get scratched in this movie

PS this is why we need like another version of it to see like everyone else’s version of what happened and stuff like that just because then it would be like totally cool to see if they like came out alive or not like at the end of the movie or something of like the actual ending but they should’ve put in the movie, but then they only put it in the second one of like how they could’ve came out but just for the fun of it though that’s why the second one was way better the one I was still talking about

- Actually, the movie was filmed in Germany, NOT London. The director, Mel Stuart, said that he wanted the movie to be "timeless" and be set in a place that was unrecognizable for English audiences. - Also, the somersault that Gene Wilder did at 13:17 was the MAIN REASON he accepted the role of Willy Wonka. He said he wanted to do the fake limping and somersault as a way of foreshadowing Wonka's unpredictability that he displays throughout the whole movie. - And the kid and parent actors' reactions to seeing the Chocolate Room for the first time were REAL! And same with the scary tunnel scene where Wonka beings singing creepily and thens starts yelling at the top of his lungs. The actors weren't prepared to see Gene Wilder suddenly go bonkers and their scared reactions were real.

The next movie is a remake, not a sequel. The original book title said Charlie, but they changed it to Wonka, I can’t remember why. In the book you do see the kids again at the end. The Oompa Loompas were only ever depicted as orange in this movie and the prequel that just came out. The original book the Oompa Loompas were Pygmy African people, but for obvious reasons they changed it and re-released the book.

Love to hear the next polls so in case. I could see who would win and you gotta think about watching Scooby Doo two monsters unleash. I know that was a good movie and also Scooby Doo and the curse of the lake monster plus Scooby Doo. I think it was in Mexico but I know it was like a Mexico movie. That’s why there’s so many other unanswered questions. Especially to like these kind of movies.

1. I first saw it when I was 10. 2. Roald Dahl the book author was a well known LSD user. (you can see why) He didn't like this adaptation, so we were cursed with "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". 3. The Umpa Lumpas told the reverent portion of the story. Anything beyond that would have been unnecessary and overkill 4. I suspect Wonka knew which children would win the tickets (lessons for our behalf) because Slugworth/Mr. Wilkinson was at the scene almost immediately. 5. Many people (especially women) seem to get a creepy feeling from Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka. 6. This is the only roll Peter Ostrum/Charlie. He's now an Veterinarian. 7. After reading the script, Gene Wilder said he would take the role of Willy Wonka under one condition: that he would be allowed to limp, then suddenly somersault in the scene when he first meets the children. When director Mel Stuart asked why, Wilder replied that having Wonka do this meant that "from that time on, no one will know if things are real or not." Stuart asked, "If I say no, you won't do the picture?" and Wilder said, "I'm afraid that's the truth." 8. If you look carefully, you can see the little girl in the candy shop get wacked on the chin when the candy man opens the flip up counter. 9. Fun fact: Veruca/Julie Dawn Cole didn't have any adult with her when they went to Germany to film the movie so Gene Wilder himself stepped in to make sure she was taken care of.😎 10. You can get away with anything in a musical.

This is the first adaptation of the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," they just changed the title to "Willy Wonka" for branding purposes (an actual chocolate line was launched). I love this adaptation -- there are a few minor changes but nothing huge, and Wilder was the perfect Wonka -- this whimsical, chaos wizard with a heart of gold. I can't stand the Johnny Depp one, even if it has a few story elements that are truer to the book -- Wonka is just too different and the backstory is terrible in that. The sequel book was "The Great Glass Elevator," which was never adapted to film (it was just okay). I always loved this adaptation best, even if Grandpa Joe does make me angry -- 20 years of lying in bed and not helping his poor daughter or grandson while they all starve is not a good look for anyone. Cheers!
