I really enjoyed this video, it was very well done. I’ve been vegan for over a year and have had similar changes in my bloodwork. Such a wonderful feeling. Great to hear you’ll stick with it! Thanks for sharing.

try looking into a more whole foods plant based diet. you don't have to go 100%, but any move in that direction will be good for your health. I went vegan because my numbers were getting worse on low carb - then after watching some of the vegan videos by animal activists - I went vegan.

my ldl dropped 38 points after elimination meat, eggs, dairy, oil from 164mg/dl to 126mg/dl. It is still high...Am on statin ...I follow low carb vegan diet.

You could have been inflammatory to dairy and cutting that out alone could have been whats helped your blood markers. Also theres seed oils in chocolate and maybe other foods you may have consumed prior so if you cut out some seed oils that also may be a part to do with your blood results. Most people who go vegan suffer tremendously after the first year because they end up extremely deficient in iron, vitamin k and A and b vitamins which are most bioavailable from meat. They are not as bioavailable from plant based foods. In the future maybe do an experiment on eating meat and continuing to be dairy free but always be mindful on what oil or cooking fat you use if you do that down the road!

Vegetable oils are actually shown to be better than butter for heart health. Obviously vegetable oils don’t have the same antioxidants as olive oil, but used in moderation they are fine!

"Most people who go vegan suffer tremendously after the first year because they end up extremely deficient in iron, vitamin k and A and b vitamins which are most bioavailable from meat. They are not as bioavailable from plant based foods." Can you provide sources for this information? I've been searching for anything to corroborate these statements, but I can't find anything. Instead I've found countless studies that conclude there's no meaningful difference in outcome data between nutrients sourced from animals vs plants. Edit: I also tried to find info on vegans becoming sick or deficient, and there don't seem to be any studies that corroborate that either. Instead, there are only personal anecdotes from people on extremely restrictive diets, like raw vegan or very low calorie diets.

@@ktbrunner1862 go check who funded those studies, likely corrupt and only half the results from the full study because they want it to look better than it actually is.. the system is rigged to try tricking us all but everything has been coming out

@@hclyrics go check out all of Paul Saladinos on youtube, might have spelled his last name wrong. He often links studies into his videos. There's 2 forms of vitamin A one is more bioavailable in plants but a little less important and the other is much more available from meat. If you search foods individually for their nutritional information you'll often find iron 20%+ from meat sources and like 1-5% from plants which automatically tells you you might get a little from plants but your better off with a chunk of steak, Lamb or organ meats if you're really deficient. There's over 42000 components to red meat as compared to a couple thousand in plant foods. Sadly most of what's on google has been funded by the big food and pharmaceutical companies to promote their own agendas. Nobody will publish that in studies, they do short term benefits not long term, there are so many personal stories right here on KZbin people have been sharing about how it started out great but then over time went downhill. Real Alex Clark had an episode with one woman, Denise Minger who started at age 10 and took until her 20s and studying nutrition herself and one day she felt possessed and ate fish so fast one day and after that she transitioned back to eating meat and fish Laura Spath I have also found on youtube she quit vegetables, fruit and fibre for 6 years and has episodes on where she started where she is now, friends/family that have followed her path, she's at 12 or 13 years carnivore now. Like I said at this stage its ex vegans telling their stories, talking about blood works they've had done over the years. Once you find one you're spiralling down a rabbit hole or at least I did

@@sabrinapeters9119 Paul Saladino has been outed as a quack by every nutrition expert who's seen his content. Your statements about the funding of studies is also way off-base, as the studies where I-and reputable nutrition professionals-get info from are unbiased meta-analyses and systematic reviews, and additionally are some of the longest-running studies that can be found on nutrition. If KZbin is your favorite source of information, there are countless videos here of experts going through Saladino's claims and cited studies and proving he's misrepresenting and bold-faced lying about the data within them. I prefer to stay away from conspiracy theory rabbit holes, but I appreciate the thought.

vegan is a whole lifestyle and belief system you should just call it" whole food plant based" or " WFPB" if your doing it for health reasons and not for the ideology of save the animals and the planet and are doing for your health or the vegans will usually attack if you use something they don't agree with like honey. But thank you, I started this a few days ago so I was wondering what my changes will be in my blood work also and in my health.

Protein is not a worry on s vegan diet if you eat whole food plant based. Non vegans however really need to worry about their FIBER intake :)
