One of the reasons to avoid antibiotic use is so that when you need them, they work. Now is the time.
@wrenwest48872 ай бұрын
Justin, I have watched two healthy men become septic, one a homesteader in PA, and the other lose both arms and legs without vigorous treatment. You are playing with your life if you are not given some antibiotic - hang the naturalists or whoever that discourages you from potent treatment. Reference: "Just a Few Acres Farm" on KZbin, a video two years ago where the PA homesteader neglected a small scratch in the forest which turned into a major septic event - "About that time I almost Died" . Nothing to laugh about!!

@jodieh47392 ай бұрын
While living in a remote village in East Africa this happened to me. I HATE antibiotics but they saved my life and I was glad we had them on hand. There are more natural options, but they must be used immediately. When it gets bad you need intervention. Most of us don't realize how quickly a simple wound can turn deadly.
@jeremymaccarthy11802 ай бұрын
It's actually called cellulitis (which is an infection in the skin and soft tissue), which has likely turned to bacteremia (blood infection). If left untreated, it can easily turn into septecemia (sepsis). That can be fatal, but usually in immunocomprimsed people or with chronic organ issues, like kidney or liver disease.
@TLadret2 ай бұрын
An adult that’s immunocompromised should automatically know to act quickly when cut with garbage bag glass with more than just slapping on a bandaid. Secondly, when it started to hurt, maybe taking care of it should have taken priority over potatoes picking and, and, and….so many things he was racing to take care of could have taken a few days on the back burner (in my opinion).
