If your spending upwards off £1.2k id suggest you look into a 15" or 13" HP spectre x360, Dell XPS15 or 13, or the 14" Asus Zenbook Duo laptop with the 2 screens for productivity. Bear in mind thise laptops with high specs like an i9 and 32gb ram can go upwards of £3k, but with the i7 or i5 and 16gb or 8gb ram can cost around £800-£1.6k depending on the laptop. Recently bought myself a spectre x360 with gtx 1650Ti, i7 10th gen, 16gb ram. with 4k oled display... managed to find a matt black one with the gold and it looks really nice 👌

The thing I don't like about gaming laptops is that they are not as thin compared to other laptop outside of the gaming side. Yes I get it that you have to have some kind of beefy cooling but I also don't game as much on the go compared to when I'm back home.
