If it's lagging you can convert the footage to proxies... which is basically when the footage is in a lower res when editing but can be turned back to 4k when importing...

Great review! One of the best I watched so far. I have two questions: 1- will it also thermal throttle the same in case you choose to edit with Final Cut which is much more compatible and made for MacOS? 2- when it throttles, can I just add a cooling pad with fans beneath the macbook and it will help cooling it faster? Right? As long as I am at home office!
