I went through TSA twice

I love travelling, all except the airport part! Airports are so damn stressful, I am one of those people who ALWAYS gets patted down/searched even when I don't go off in the metal detectors, probably because my anxiety and palpitations make me look guilty. So my stuff gets thrown and strewn out of my bag that I only just managed to fit everything in already! They're always difficult to get to from wherever I live, they're packed, they're hot and clammy, the lines are huge, the technology USUALLY doesn't work very well and the staff have to deal with so many people all day that they're often a little low on empathy. I'm glad that you made it through all good though!

Airports are extremely extremely stressful. I rather go to the dentist or the DMV personally. I’m so glad in spite of the mishap you didn’t miss your flight and they weren’t impatient or rude with you. Your locs are looking really good!

I love you for sharing this experience! The last time I went to the airport I had a similar experience where I was struggling more than the typical airport goer. I ended up having a full meltdown in public and it was super embarrassing for me. I couldn’t even verbalized now overstimulated I was am probably just looked like a crazy black girl. It makes me feel good to know that there are others who share this struggle with airports 🫶🏾 next time I’m getting the keychain!!!

I’m so sorry!! That’s one of the main things I get so concerned about. I don’t want to have a public meltdown because at that point I can’t talk and people won’t know how to help me :( so sorry that happened- i can’t recommend communication cards enough! Her shop is UK based I think, but it was well worth the shipping costs!
