My niece and I attended today and both thoroughly enjoyed it and were blessed. Over 300 people committed their lives to Jesus. The teaching on how to build wealth was very informative, but we chose not to buy a thing. I honestly would recommend this to anyone. God bless!

I, too, bought tickets for this Saturday, and now will not be going. Some 18 years ago I was enamored with James Smith's quirky personality, and lost my shirt following his classes's teachings about doing no money down real estate. God brought me out of $133,000 of debt using Dave Ramsey's principles after that, and you are absolutely right, the Bible never promotes debt. Thank you, thank you for posting this video.

I just attended the Seattle conference and felt the same about the classes offered. I felt the main speakers i went to see were worth the tickets and we had awesome worship with Bethel Natelie Grant and the keyboard player you mentioned. They had an alter call and about a thousand people either were new to faith or rededicated their lives to our Lord Jesus. We did not sign up for the classes .we were definetly inspired to do more for the Kingdom but know better than to go into debt.

Thank you so much for this video! I've been in sales and marketing my whole life and would never have imagined Tim Tebow and Nick Vujicic would be apart of something like this. Not that it's bad to sell or market products or services, but to turn our house of worship and praise into a commercial marketplace is disgusting and sad. These people have sold-out their faith to the money changers of our time.

And they don't tell you this upfront. That's what annoys me. They wait until you've already paid to attend the event, (which takes up your whole day if you stay for the duration), and then you find out after a few hours of sitting there. And don't tell you how much you ultimately have to "invest", which you either find out by attending the 3-day classes they offer you for $97 or find out by looking for reviews like I have. My mom and I went yesterday. Today is the last day they're in town and today's event was sold out. Somehow, the word "sell-out" just came to mind.

Tim Tebow shared about his foundation to help children who are trafficed and shared testimonies about how he learned to trust God for himself. Nick Vujicic shared about being God's hands and feet and that we have hope. Then he shared that his dad told him to work hard. He learned about the stock market and bought his first house at 19. He never told anyone of us to spend their money :)

Life Surge Houston was awesome today! Jeremy Camp and his crew opened up in worship. Loved it! All the speakers had amazing testimonies which intertwined the Bible and wealth. I was a little skeptical after watching this podcast to go but I’m glad we did. Great experience.

@@hethcheese I went to the venue yesterday. Nick, Anne, Johnathan, and Priscilla were outstanding. Shared part of their testimonies. Didn't push money or classes at all. Very authentic and Godly. I focused on them and the praise and worship. There was a gentleman name James Smith who was a hoot in my opinion. Rough around the edges and some people might find his delivery offensive rather than funny. He certainly got me up and alert again, as I was getting tired after sitting and listening for 6 hours. I'd go back again to hear the speakers and worship.

You absolutely nailed this. I just attended the Grapevine, Tx event today. Every speech/act was the same thing with just a few variations. I went in expecting deep biblical theology on how Christians should perceive/handle wealth and hoped to hear practical tools to gaining wealth. The day started out optimistic and Jesus-focused with the Benham bros and Nick V, but quickly turned sour for me as well after Champ’s sales pitch and my realization that they were just blowing smoke and telling stories and hyping ppl up with a bunch of emotional targeting but zero practical advice. I was shocked how many ppl rushed to the front to buy $197 classes. The thing that stopped me was the red flags and the fact they hadn’t taught me anything yet, so what would make me think these classes would teach me anything? Very very disappointing and surprising someone like Nick V would be a part of something like this. PS: They called some single moms up to the stage and gave them the classes for free which seems generous but I think is just preying on the vulnerable. Also scripture was being taken out of context and barely used at all throughout the day. I ended up leaving early.

Hello, I attended the same event. The praise and worship was great. My main visit was to see Nick V. and Priscilla Shirer. Now, he nor she didn't disappoint, we just had to wait to hear them. Maybe, do some research ahead of the events to help you decide on whether to go or not.

I also attended the event in Grapevine. I enjoyed the worship. I learned something. I got confirmation. Remember, God can use anyone and anything. Was some of it sketchy? Sure. But, you don't have to pay for any additional training.

Come to the event to “learn”.. but actually pay $197 to really learn… then at those classes I read reviews saying they offer more classes for 14k and 30k. That’s super misleading and sketchy.

If everyone tithed at their local church and have offerings besides to help the needy, generously contributed to their local food bank and just looked out for people in their community, it wouldn’t take millions to stamp out need! Thank you for making this video. I saw the ad on Facebook and thought I might take my pre-teen boys to this conference. I decided to dig deeper into what the conference was about and under their FAQs it says "Is there an age limit?" I clicked on it and found it says "The event is intended for business people, and all attendees are required to have a ticket. We recommend young adults and older attend LIFE SURGE." So of course my next step was to search the internet for reviews and I found your detailed video. Thanks so much! I'm glad you helped me avoid sitting through this event with my kids. I wish the Facebook ads were more clear on what its about and who their target audience is.

They didn't prophesy, they shared what worked for them and offered classes to learn new skills if we wanted to. No one was forced to sign up. And certainly all of them acknowledged God, not one single one denied the Master, or blasphemed God :)

I went with my daughter to Wealth Surge. They were offering a $40,000 coaching program for investing. When my daughter asked how she was supposed to get the money, they told her to go to the bank and take out a loan. They said, "what would you do if you knew that 40,000 was going to turn into a million? Wouldn't you take that risk?" She said "No."

I attended this past weekend. I had a very similar experience and feelings as you. I was uncomfortable when they asked for more. Watching people rush to the tables to give more. I was interested in what James White had to say and I found that he had given a nearly identical speech 10 years ago, same slides and everything. Thank you for confirming to me that I was making the right choice to not move forward with their classes. They really had me doubting for a day or so as I was in prayer. Then God brought me to your video here. 🙏

I feel like many people would have understood more about the conference if they went to the website and read more about it, instead of looking at the brochure... In the statement as if we are attracting business-minded people and entrepreneurs.... If you went in there expecting something different you didn't fully pay attention to the experience they were offering.....I had a vastly different experience, I watched this video before attending the Tulsa one and I did pay for the meet and greets too. I feel many of you didn't listen, they said "no one here is selling get rich quick" they also said "we aren't selling the prosperity gospel or the poverty gospel" "they stated over and over, we are just trying to help you in many aspects of Christian way of life. I had a great experience and it actually impacted me in many ways!

They weren't selling riches, they were selling debt. Some people may succeed using their program, most probably won't. This is a for-profit business marketing speeches to sell mentorship classes. They likely don't want people to read the fine print before coming. Just like a good time sales presentation. thanks for watching! I attended the LifeSurge event in Indianapolis today at a local church and it went just as you stated. We paid $27 for our tickets and had a great view of all speakers. I enjoyed most of the speakers, and the worship service led by Bethel Music. Yes, they had the two speakers, Champ and James Smith, promoting the $97 classes on investing and real estate. Smith had everyone laughing, and yes, he was rough around the edges. He reminded me of a comedian doing a show. I did not sign up for any of the classes, nor did I want to. Many did. There was a man seated in front of us who shouted out several times during the sign-up time, saying this is a house of worship, not a house of the stock market or investing (moneychangers). He was gently escorted out. 😮 If they didn't have the sales pitches, this would be well worth attending again. We did leave early and missed Willie Robertson and Sarah Jakes Roberts who we really wanted to see. The day was long. I took away great info from John Maxwell and some of the speakers, but it also had me thinking about what does God want me to do. You did a great review, just saw it after attending the event. 😊

I went yesterday in Boston and to tell you the truth I felt duped! I felt like I got suckered into one of those time share talks! I went expecting to worship and hear amazing testimonies and learn about Jesus and I instead found myself learning to grow your wealth under the guise of “helping the Kingdom”. I was astounded as I sat listening to a speaker talk about making money through trading and real estate! I was fuming! I paid extra to sit closer to the stage to see everyone and ended up leaving half way through! Plus I got a parking ticket because there was no where to park! The ads are completely misleading and I felt like they stole my money and my time! Be honest in your ads next time! Tell us what you’re up to! This was the shadiest “Christian Concert” I’ve ever attended. My spirit was sickened by the whole thing!

I went to the tampa event last week. My father and i both went. We were so hyped after buying our tickets then read the revirws and felt discouraged....weeks later the day approached, and we both didn't wanna go but spend over 100 on each... yeah, wayyy different experience then we thought we were gonna have. The spirirt was definitely moving, and god wouldnt be in a place where deciet and lies and greed are..... i say go yourself and experience it and make your own choices. You wouldnt give your work or labor away for free how do you expect these people as too well. Ehhh should they have told you earlier about classes they offer .....yes...the delivery was off but the message is strong. God bless.

I just attended in Seattle this past weekend and it was wonderful!!!!! Everything they talked about is aligned with the Bible and a lot of these comments are of people who are stuck in the mentality that money is bad. But they show you that by looking at money as a way to reach more people because you’re able to do more things it helped me so much! We did sign up for the classes and are very excited. Many times classes are 1,000’s of dollars. They offer two class , that you can bring a spouse or friend with you! And you can attend the other class for free. Each class is 3 days long. We can’t learn by sitting back and staying stuck. Many of us our in debt and it does create a huge burden in life. It was amazing to hear from Christian believers who are trying to teach other how you can get unstuck and use wealth to do great things to reach more people. Please don’t allow these comments to discourage you. It was wonderful and I was very blessed by having the opportunity to go. I am finally excited for my future and have hope instead of constantly stressing. God bless you ❤️

I'd like to hear the testimonials of anyone who keeps going to the next purchased event to learn more and more, however far this goes. I'd like to get actual stats. In 2023, how many tickets were sold to Life Surge event, then the 3 day event, so on and so on, and how much money was made off of it, who got paid what percentage. Then see how many people made it to the end and actually PROFITED a penny afterwards. Lets see those numbers, LIFE SURGE!

I can respect and appreciate your review. I believe it all boils down to what you’re looking for. I attended this event in Grapevine, TX. How I even came to be there (I believe) was a total God thing. I didn’t respond to the adverts. So although I didn’t have any expectations of the event itself (just excited to hear Priscilla Shirer), I was thrilled because God had something for me. Turns out it was confirmation of some things I’d been talking to Him about (mindset shift was already uploading). I thoroughly enjoyed the whole event! I even binge watched Duck Dynasty after hearing Willie Robertson…lol! I did purchase the $197 trainings & attended Real Estate Surge a couple of days ago. While I did not sign up for the $13K - $30K coaching program, my mindset was further challenged (that convo with God I mentioned), God was tap-tap-tapping me on the shoulder the whole time, & I connected with some wonderful people. Sorry for those who feel it was a bait & switch. I left encouraged & invigorated. 👑

I went to the event and was presented offers to sign up for programs too, but I wouldn't call it pressure sales. It was my choice and it was up to me to decide if it's worth spending my money on some courses to learn smth that don't line up with my gifts and talents. I really enjoyed the event, eslecially listening to Nick V, Ed Mylett, the twin brothers speak. I'd say I expected also deeper dive into practical ways in getting wisdom and learn things to improve my finances. Although my expectations were not completely met, I still don't regret going to the event.

The fact that the opening band was from Bethel Church in Irving California was a major red flag. This church absolutely does not preach the word of God. My experience in sales raised a bunch of red flags for me as well so you are right on point.

I've entertained the thought of going to a Life Surge but always thought it would be a waste of money, and you confirmed it. You're not "off" about this. You have discernment. By what you described, I would feel exactly the same way. It's disgusting and sad, really. I believe Jesus would be flipping tables at these events.

She was the LAST speaker and only spoke for 30mins. it all started well but in the middle then trying to sell the courses I did feel uncomfortable. Thank you, sir. My love for God could not be stronger today. My husband and I were skeptical of this event but purchased the same $47.00 ticket for today's show in Tampa. We drove 45min to arrive at the venue, and there was no traffic control. They had re-routed all traffic to one entrance. We waited 30min and traffic never moved. It would have taken hours to get inside. We and hundreds of others pulled out of line and headed home. God was looking out for us in Tampa to avoid the "condo pitch" we all know too well. Amen. Sad day for my former heroes.

On the other hand, I really enjoyed listening to the twin brother Benjamin, Prescillia Shirer, Willie Roberson, Robert Herjavec, and Tim Tebow. Also, I did not spend a penny on food or drink, since they were offering a quite yummy lunch box to every attendees… The $47.00 I spent was worth it. Besides, I left home at 8:15am (from Lithia Fl) and got inside the parking lot at 9:10am…. And was on my seat by 9:35am…. Wonder why you turn away?????

Thank you for this video. I attended a Life Surge conference in July and left feeling the same way. So many signed up for the seminars, it gave me a sick feeling too. Didn’t they see they were being taken advantage of? We had three seminar info speakers. The third one for the public speaking was the hardest to sit through. I just can’t believe that the church it was held at, Tim Tebow and Pricilla Shirer support this event. Pricilla was not at the conference I attended but I would have loved to hear her speak, as she is often one of the main speakers. After I attended I looked for reviews because I thought others must have felt this way but yours is one of the only ones I have found. Although I did enjoy Tim Tebows’s gospel message, I think I would have rather not have wasted an entire Saturday and to hear him speak for 40 min at the end of the day.

My wife and I attended the Kent Washington Life Surge in May as well. We both found it a worthwhile experience and can’t wait to attend the classes later in June. We do not feel the same as you do, but wholly understand your feelings and do agree with your recommendations for hire something like this could be improved. Based on the class prices, and the Seattle area cost of living, the $197 class cost for 2 people to attend 6 days (12 days total amounts to $16.42/person/day) likely is entirely consumed by the venue costs and training logistics; I can’t imagine there is any profit yet to be had by the organization. However, I do believe God is calling us to investigate our talents on one of the class areas, so I am cautiously moving forward.

I just attended the trade class in kent this weekend. I felt like i was being pushed into buying a time share. All it was was a big upsell scheme. Im so disappointed. They are trying to get you on the hook for anywhere from 20 to 40k for ‘extended education’ they taught just enough about trading to keep you in your seat but it was definitely not what i was expecting. I attended with my son yesterday May 18th in Kent. While I was turned off a little bit by the way they offered the classes, in the end, I signed up. They were super affordable for two weekend classes and what is there to loose at $197? The majority of the speakers were very genuine and had good stuff to share. Fully expect those classes to upsale further monthly subscriptions to yet more information on making money. Nevertheless, I’m going to check it out. Because, you never know? I’m glad I went overall.

Yep, literally sitting at one now. Feels very predatory to me. Breadcrumbs of info with a lot of psychological manipulation. Just offered their “University” for 20,000-40,000 depending on the classes you take. I hate that they are using Jesus as their front man. The “pastor” there hasn’t even prayed once, they have attendees pray, there is no biblical reference to any of it that’s been referenced. For something touting it’s Christian and Biblically based….Im not seeing Jesus nor am I seeing any scripture to back what is being taught. Except they keep saying, you make the money, you can bless others. Honestly, if you do the math, they are making a killing! They are very adamant you can’t record anything or take pictures. Correct me if I’m wrong but at the Life Surge event they said this was a class. That is what I thought I was paying for. A class to learn how to trade. They give you just enough info to make you believe you’ve got this, but not enough that you’d be able to do anything with it. So instead of a class, I really just paid 197.00 to attend the bigger sales pitch. 🙄🤥

Thank you! This was exactly my experience. Theology was pretty sketchy throughout. Everything based on the parable of the talents. Every stock advisor I’ve every listened to has always said to invest only what you can afford to lose. This was presented as a win win situation. Most of the presenters based their presentations on fear. I questioned almost all of their testimonies. They all seemed to live the same experience. You could interchanged all their family pics with the same result. Beautiful wife,six kids. I was screaming in my head. I really wanted to see how much each speaker was receiving from this scam.

I feel like there is so much truth to say about the deception I’m not even sure exactly how to condense it to share. I didn’t even know who tim was. And I still really don’t care. All of the speakers show up and it’s scripted. They really are a a bunch of actors. Programmed real life robots going through the motions. The concept of life surge is beautiful, if they were truly doing it in a true Christian manner. They could do what their doing without charging people and still come out on top. While truly continuing to grow and expand the true kingdom. It’s hard to comprehend how these individuals (life surge team/speakers) continue to do what their doing in the way their doing it and not feel ashamed. About the worship, amen! I went to the one in San Antonio today and my impression was that it was authentic and tell it like it is. It was informative with points backed up in scripture, and it was basically trying to unite us as Christians to use the gifts that God has given us and wants us to use for his glory to provide for our families and to have kingdom impact such as being able to give to the poor and the suffering wherever needed. There was lots of great insight and blunt realities that some may find offensive. But at the heart of it was genuine and authentic concern and intent to try to help us to grow Spiritually as well as Financially to not be dependent on welfare or others, so that we can remain free from being controlled financially and be able to protect and provide for our loved ones and for those that God has called us to serve.

I just attended this past Friday and I felt very deceived. Thought it was the worst bate and switch ever and a waste of time and money. I also was disgusted by the prosperity gospel being preached all day long. Here is California the most deceptive part was that NON of the advertisements said anything about wealth or money. NON Of them. It wasn't until we got there was there any mention of learning how to build your wealth. The real estate guy that we had, said that if you are poor it is because the devil has you and you need to repent of your sin.

I went Saturday as well, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt that a lot of information they gave was very valuable and the classes even more so. But I also believe in paying people for their time. They never PROMISE that you'll become a millionaire. They simply give you the tools and the knowledge, and then the rest is up to you. It is a shame all the people that may miss it because of this video and others like it. And aside from salvation Nothing of value is free. Everything has a cost even if it's not through monetary means.

When I first saw this advertisement I thought it was an event of 100,s of Christians coming together for Worship, fellowship, prayers and sharing testimonies. I had no idea what it was truly about. I was just in a Holy Ghost Fog thinking I was going to be in a real community praising and loving our Lord Jesus. About three days ago, with still not knowing the truth of the event, my heart started to feel very heavy and I started to ask Jesus for Wisdom about this conference. My conference date is tomorrow 9/9 in San Jose, CA. I decided to pull up some reviews about the conference and you were the only one I saw. Everyone has a right to their opinion. Unfortunately one person's negative opinion can steal the opportunity for others to experience it from a different set of eyes. I was thoroughly pleased by the entire day of speakers and information. I did not sign up for the $197 two sets of three days classes for TWO people ($98.50 each for six days of business information that can benefit those who are interested). I needed to sleep on it before making the decision. Not because of the cost but because of the time commitment. It's sad you missed the opportunity to make your own opinion.

I went to the conference and I also fell for the sales pitch. However when I got home I decided to do my do diligence and look up everything I could find about the classes. I have found nothing but negative things and John ( the man who made this video) is right they try to get you to buy more classes. They are ranging from $13,000-$30,000 depending on the level you want, it's crazy. I emailed them for a refund. It says they have a refund policy as long as its within 7 business days of the conference.

The event is this Saturday in Orlando for me. I was really excited that I was going to a Christ centered event and maybe it will be that for me, time will tell. I will still go since the tickets are non- refundable and I’m sure I’ll enjoy the worship. But I’m so glad to have found this video and everyone’s comments cause I’m such a sucker for these kinds of classes and too easily get drawn in. At least now I will be alert to it and will know when to leave.
