I went to this back in 2022 when it was called Dark Side of the Con. My friend and I were there and we had a blast! We are from MA & RI and ran into lots of friends from our local goth scenes there. Definitely lots of stuff to see, do and shop!

Thank you for your review of all the vendors and non-music aspects of Dark Force Fest. This was my second year and it was amazing. Last year's festival inspired me to become a TWITCH DJ (my TWITCH chan-nel has also become my KZbin, Instagram, and TikTok handles as well). My focus this year was watching as many bands as I could while talking to the bands, getting autographs, congregating with other TWITCH DJs, and handing out my business cards. I did get to go down to the different vending rooms and picked up some Matthew Lineham graphic arts prints featuring Siouxsie Sioux and Rocky Horror.

Love me some wet specimens too! I get those postcards from Vampire Freaks, but I live in Michigan…but still…my bf’s parents do live out that way and we promised a visit soon. :) These remind me of steampunk cons…you get music, lectures, games and workshops all under one roof for 2-4 days. :). And you can wear corsets and no one harasses you. It is a nice safe pace. It’s a huge party but with intellectual stuff if you want to do that.

Thanks for posting this side of the festival. I live in Ohio and unfortunately this is just too far for me to travel for but I wanted to go so bad. I would definitely be going for the music… so many good bands and one of my absolute favorites played on Sunday but I was really curious about the types of vendors and quality of things offered as well. It looks like everything was so amazing! I also love that the place looks like a castle. Maybe one day it will be in the cards for me to be able to go.

$20 is a good deal on that piece. The thing is, if it is a real vintage teacup, it probably contains lead. I have several of them and used to drink out of them but now that I know better, they can just for show.
