I went to see steps (a band in my country, they are a line dancing pop group all in their now 40s and they were basically aimed at kids & teens in the 90s - I think you'd kinda like them) a few months ago and my shoes were stuck to the floor because somehow someone that wasn't me or my friend (neither of us got a drink cos the queue was so long so we gave up 🙃) spilt a sticky drink all over the floor by my feet like what happened to you🙃. And I was sat on the end like you, and the drunk middle aged women kept shoving past us with trays full of prosecco (we were like the youngest there besides some famous drag queens, who were out of drag who are also in their 20s, steps are gay icons).
