One thing I found about yellow pages is it highly depends on the quality of the paper. If the paper is flimsy, that will easily turn it yellow over time and more quickly due to humid room temperatures and/or sun damage. You both got some nice finds though! I'm jealous of the DVD finds! :0

The best day is on a tueaday to go to savers i talked to personal workers and they say they take out the best stuff on that day sense its senior discount day But always always go in the morning Also Arcadia location was the one i went to when i started collecting i would always go in the morning stand in line and the best of the best stuff was there so many people knew what to get and the cleaned it out so again best thing to do / experience is going before opening and standing in line

Not to spoil the meme but the reason why there are crazy batteries inside most of those items is because they are the ones that came with them, and as you all said, the name brands are expensive. So if they came with batteries, they usually came with off brand ones. And then the person grew out of it before needing to switch them out.
