Sadly, they ARE dropping by the boutique if they're plus sized. I am only a size 22-24 and the last time I visited the GAP I found four shirts there in my size and ONE that looked decent - a solid tank top. The time it takes to find even a single option in chains is far too long for someone in a hurry. It is faster to drop the cash at a boutique.

As a plus sized woman myself. I have to say that this video meant a lot to me. You are beyond brave to post a video about shopping and show inside the dressing room. To wear a swimsuit on camera. To eat on camera! I haven't been to a family function in two years, because I'm ashamed of eating in front of my family. I dont eat dinner infront of people. I try not to eat at all. And to watch you eat a decadant multicourse meal was something that I didn't know I needed to see. It is so wonderful and beautiful to see you doing these sort of things and pushing plus sized life forward as a reality, not as a stigma. Thank you.

Dear Kristen, I am on the larger scale of body image and I have always been conscious about my clothes. I usually wore a larger type of shirts and long, wide jeans to avoid showing my legs, arms or belly and dresses that always went down to my feet. I have been watching ladylike for a long time and always admired your looks and confidence in these amazing dresses and this year for my new years resolution I decided to buy dresses that are only up to my knees and since then I have not worn any pants because I am so comfortable and a little bit more self a sure. I still have to wear leggings underneath because I chafe easily, but I got a lot of compliments and I feel a lot more feminine and even sexy sometimes. Thank you SO much for making this video!!!!! This is the best all year so far. As a plus size woman, it’s so cool to see Ladylike exploring fashion for all shapes, sizes and ethnicities. Kristin you give me courage not to feel negative toward my body on my journey toward becoming healthier. I’ve been struggling lately with my weight and although I don’t care so much about becoming slimmer, I do want to become healthier and I know by forming healthy habits, the body will follow. Kristin I love how honest and matter of fact you are about struggles us curvy girls go through. And I love how sweet and support Jen is. You should visit Minneapolis/St. Paul! There is an up-and-coming fashion movement for plus-size women, where it's not just about clothes. It's about doing events that celebrate plus-size bodies, such as burlesque shows, boudoir photography, pool events, fitness, fashion, and art (culinary, museums, theater, etc). Cake Resale is still a pretty new consignment shop for plus-size women, but it's making a big impact in the area, and they actually co-host a ton of these events. Oh, and if you come to the area, I'd recommend summer or fall.

My sister has PCOS and seeing someone who IS plus sized, and ROCKING IT and loving herself is so fantastic! So many women feel like they can't be beautiful if they aren't a certain size or shape. Don't some stores sell both plus and core sizes but they arnt necessarily labeled as a plus size store? I know that all Maurices (I work there) sell plus and core sizes. It might be worth calling around if you are someone who has the same problem as Kristin!

I don't know if it's the same in America but my experience in the UK is that most shops with a plus size section do not stock the same or even similar clothes to their main stock. I usually get stuck with bootcut jeans for 6ft people or a baggy top that wouldn't suit anyone! 😂😂

WaitingForTheDoctor That's pretty similar to what's been my shopping-for-clothes experience my adult life- 30+ years. Even trousers & jeans marked 'short' & 'petite' aren't guaranteed to fit length-wise. And, though I'm 51, I'm not ready for the matching polyester outfits that many grannies seem to favor; though of them might wear those due to lack of choice! (sigh) The struggle is real, I guess everywhere.
