... I was born in Uzbekistan, I have been living in Russia since 1994, and my relatives have remained in Samarkand. I was very pleased to see my native expanses. I also have a goal to ride a motorcycle to Uzbekistan, to explore places I haven't been to in 30 years.

That car of unknown brand is "Moskvich 412", a soviet model produced in the city of Moscow. This one is from late 70-s or early 1980-s. In 1968 and 1970 "Moskvichs" won the rallys London-Sydney and London-Mexico.

Your views on tourism are debatable. You are a tourist yourself and also promoting places and travel with your videos. Makes me smile that while you do it you have this opinion.

@ so explain what do you think I don’t understand. Sono curioso!
@LostAndSavage2 күн бұрын
@ as I travel slowly and without luxury confort, in contact with people and respecting the place, my impact on foreign society is minimal, I do not change the shape and structure of a place with my presence. Unfortunately easy, low-cost and mass tourism leads to changing the streets to bring buses to the city center, houses become hotels, and mosques souvenir shops. Creating an expensive and no longer genuine life for the local people. I have seen countries change thanks to fashion tourism, and seeing a traditional house transform into a coca cola shop or McDonald's is disgusting, and when a place loses its nature it is too late. Once is gone, is gone. As in Venice or Florence or Greece, mass tourism has destroyed the local economy of the society, to favor large investments of multinationals. The pattern is the same, and people notice it when it's too late. Cheers
@madeonwater2 күн бұрын
@@LostAndSavage ok. You are right. I agree, being a traveller myself, but how do you decide who will travel and who will have to stay at home. Mass tourism is the consequence of all people wanting to travel. Do you think 60 motorbike riders travelling like you are better than a tourist bus? I doubt it. You have the classical approach of: I do it this way and I do no harm all the other people stay home because tourism is bad. This is the point I was making. You give yourself the privilege to go to places but the masses (which are just other people wanting to see the places you see) should stay away. You mention Florence and Venice. So do you go there, should you be “allowed” if you don’t live there. This is the topic I was talking about. I do come from a touristic region in Italy and always demonising tourism while the own ass is sitting on the beach, in the tropics or exploring the world is very easy. You are just a tourist like everyone with your preferred way of travelling to think you are “better” is debatable.
@LostAndSavage2 күн бұрын
@@madeonwater there are various ways of tourism or travel, right and wrong. Mass tourism is wrong and this is well documented, what is to easy most of the time is also deleterious. And no, I don't think everyone has the right to travel only because they can afford it. This is just souless capitalism way of behave. We need awareness of what we are doing and of the damage our actions can cause. The surrounding aroud us prove it. Many people understood this, some other no. You can debate wathever you want, the reality is this, you like or not. Bye
