My late wife was a cure fan from her teenage years. This was the only song of theirs that I ever cared about because it said everything I needed to say. And now that she's gone I listen to it over and over again.

I'm so so sorry for your loss. It sounds as if you really and truly loved your wife. I'm long divorced from a husband that didn't love me and now that I'm old I'm sometimes actually OK with being alone because not having to go through the pain of having shared a good married life with someone and losing them has shielded me from the grief that must come from that level of loss. It must be really difficult. I had a highschool boyfriend die in a tragic car accident, we never lived together, but we loved one another. He was in college and I was in my senior year of HS when he died. I still think about him often and what might have been. I think I understand your heart and I feel real empathy for you. It sounds as if you were blessed to have found the one for you. I'm glad you have this song to reflect on what was. The song that makes me remember my boyfriend is Our House. He used to play that and tell me how our lives would be and paint this picture of our future in my brain and heart, such a clear picture of how our lives would be together. It was so awful when he died and all that was gone. It must be even worse to have had those sorts of dreams, had many of then come true and then lose the person you'd built a life with and built your life around. It's both beautiful and tragic at the same time. Losing my boyfriend before our lives together could truly start was really difficult, it changed my life and not for the better at that time. Don't let your loss alter your life in negative ways if you can help it. Stay strong. I hope what I've said is OK.

I was my daddy's little princess. He was such a decent, honest, helping soul. When I first was told by physicians that he was sick. I went directly to my supervisor & said my dad was my priority and I was leaving. She then told me about the "new" family leave at that time explaining I didn't have to quit. I was determined to help get my daddy healthy. I could care less for the $$$ I would lose by leaving. $$$ means NOTHING in front of your family, especially your dad who protected you all your life. Others "poison" their parents for $$$$. DEGENERATES. I will always love you, daddy. 😙

I love this song I'm an old lady now, a senior, I don't think I ever had anybody truly love me romantically in my whole life. It would have been so nice to have had someone feel the way that the person who wrote these lyrics felt about the person they were singing about in my life at some point. I had boyfriends and a husband I had a boyfriend once who was killed in a car accident he might have actually loved me but the rest of the men, no. People who have whatever it takes to inspire others to write poetry and songs about them of this type are luckier than they might imagine. This is a beautiful song, I'm glad it was written and happy for all those people who were truly romantically loved at some point in their lives.

This song will always remind me of my best friend Heather, she was my rock, my island, my reason for living when I was younger. I grew up in an extremely toxic family environment and when I was with her everything was new and exciting, she once told me we were going to get married... hell, we were not even dating. Bought her a ring with a beautiful black diamond and never gave it to her when I met my future wife Heather and I drifted apart but I thought of her every day. It is hard to lose a best friend, one that you were so mentally and spiritually close to. This was playing on the radio, and her passing brought me here. I knew her over half my life. Can we continue the meds until 3 when her friend from when she was 10 shows up ? Then, the meds stopped, the BP decreased, heart rate decreased, I could see the pulse in her neck, then it stopped. Her suffering is over. But this day sucks.
