@@Melvin-x6g The recording is from 2002, when she was 54 years old. Today she is 76 and she still sings, at least she still performs in Germany. I don't know whether she still performs in the USA.

I grew up in the 80’s but always heard songs from 60’s as a young child. It must have been something to grow up in that era. I used to wish there was a magic time machines so I could see what it was like.

The one really great thing about KZbin is its ability to bring back times past and long past. I was in college in the late 50s and so many of these singers bring back memories. Gone, but never forgotten!

When this song was released, she was not singing about God. This song and several others ("My Guy," for example) were adapted with a religious theme for the film, "Sister Act." Little Peggy March was singing about her boyfriend, not God.

Back in the mid 80s I was in an oldies theme club in South Fl. as they were doing spoofs on the stars and then I heard this song. I instantly knew it had to be Peggy , but the club was so packed I couldn't see the stage and fought to get to the stage as there was Peggy who lived nearby in Plantation making a surprise showing sounding great and looking even better. I think she was in her early 40s.
