The Archipelago Singers is the first Indonesian choir invited and performing in this highly prestigious international non-competitive choir festival.

This piece was an opening song at 5 concerts in 5 consecutive days in South of France. This piece always moved me during those concerts, especially 1:57. Jake Runestad came across Psalm 121 from the Bible and found great beauty in the admiration for natural creation linked with a promise of guidance and support from a higher power. He found such peace in the splendor of the natural world and he wanted to capture that serenity with this work. He carefully shaped the melodic lines to mimic that of a mountainous landscape and the tone colors to the bold hues of where the hills meet the sky.
