OMG Jory, you really wonder why Circula had a problem with your "review"? How ridiculous. Maybe take another look at the review yourself. It sounds about the same as if someone would review your channel like this: "Well, someone told me I should check out this channel. Ok, I did that. "Time Teller" ...Nice guy, a bit overweight and unkempt, but anyway, I don't have to smell him. Content? Yes, nicely filmed. Knowledge - well, I would say extremely uninformed. He rambles about a watch with a PUW movement and that it is expensive at 800 bucks, but apparently has NO idea about movements AT ALL. Otherwise, he might know (or would have informed himself) that Pforzheimer Uhren-Werke is out of business for a long long time and that these movements used in the watch are New Old Stock movements, which are of course 1. rare 2. expensive 3. not decorated and 4. obviously NOT COSC standard! My God, how can you make a review without informing yourself about the product in any way? How unprofessional! Seems to me like a lot of blah with little in the pants. Anyway, otherwise he has a voice that is ok, at least for the duration of one of his "exciting" videos...not longer for sure. I couldn't look at that beard any longer either without thinking something was about to jump out of it. Oh, and let's not forget - a Jew who likes to use the old "everybody hates Jews" stereotype. Spoiler alert - people like you are the reason people have problems with Jews, and I'm Jewish myself. Jews like you are hurting the community! As for the company that shall not be named, you can always resort to the creative approach I once read in rent-a-car reviews on Grand Canaria where a guy explained all the ways a company tried to steal his money and add hidden charges: "... I won't name the company, but it starts with 'Gold' and ends with 'Car'".

Jory - no one should fault you for expressing your honest opinion, from which I have personally benefited. I bought my Casio twin sensor based on your recommendation and love it. While I don't agree with you on everything (I own two Tudors), your channel is a fantastic way to spend a few minutes learning about pieces that I might otherwise have missed, and based on your 200K milestone, I am not alone in appreciating your humor and insight. You're probably my fave semi-loose-cannon on the KZbins, but I *do* think you've shown proper restraint in regard to this matter: if this particular company has *this* much an issue with you, they'll have the same issue with any reviewer with at least a shred of integrity. Meaning they're not worth losing sleep over. (I would hope you're sleeping reasonably well.)

This is so interesting to me, seeing what goes on in the background. I've found the original video, and my first impression upon viewing the watch was this is a budget fashion watch you'd find in a department store for $50 marked down from the $75 which didn't sell. If a single review on a KZbin channel means none of his family get decent Christmas presents I think it's dramatic hyperbole. Even the white dial, honestly.

I'm into quartz watches and yes I was many of the millions that contributed to the Quartz Crises. More than happy to get away from the problematic mechanical. The bulk of my watches were obtained prior to and around 2000. Typical movement at the time a 7jewel ETA movement that commonly runs 20, 30 years with no issue. Today and for the past many years makers are using lower grade, like no jewel, movements. These watches aren't likely to last or be as accurate and I've basically been out of the market because of this.

Im from Germany and I’ve spoken with the CEO & his Son on some watch fares, usually they are very very friendly and supportive when you have problems and it’s a nice family run company in general- so this is not a general problem with them I suppose

I watched the video on the watch you covered and i dont think you were overly harsh on it. I think that watchmaker is just really proud of their product, they have a good product and if everything is handmade as they say it is (yes it is a steep price) but the movement seems pretty rare and also from germany (i think they were going for a full german watch components [or as much as possible] product) 800 is a lot for a watch but i imagine this watchmaker is more ma and pa than something from the likes of dw or sturhling who are actively lying and ripping off their customers to their hearts content, so to support a small business like that i would imagine their GP per sale would have to be pretty high. I personally like the dials and cases they have, the leather band could be switched out and i agree the font for the company is a little off

I thought reviews are not sponsored. Sponsored “reviews” are typically fluff pieces. It seems a bit sketch to be compensated but then also trash the product. Most channels call this out and basically tell you to take their “review” with a grain of salt if it’s sponsored.

I just watched that review and I thought you were pretty objective. I also viewed a few reviews by others & nobody completely liked it either. The lug to lug would be a turn off for people with smaller wrists. Agreed with the logo style. Maybe they liked it lol. I believe the one with the white dial that you said you liked more than the blue dial has a hand wound movement. Someone also commented about the lack of lume on the hands, and a user who had the model with the hand wound movement said that his watch lost one second per hour after it had been running for just over 18 hours. Definitely not cool, and certainly not worth the price in either model. I think they're upset because they didn't make a quality product & they probably gave the other people who reviewed it grief too.
