So true! I read a book by someone close to him, can’t remember the name now. Bose refused to Save Indians imprisoned by Japanese one the Andaman Nicobar islands, especially those who were sent there for punishment by the British. One prominent one was Diwan Singh Kalepani who refused to speak against the British , even though the British had imprisoned him there. Japanese killed him. Bose didn’t help him ! Why ?

Justice Katju is absolutely correct. 1. INA was formed of British India Army personnel diserters who became POWs after the fall of Singapore and Malaya , that is why they they were not taken back in the Indian army after independence 2 Japanese had no intention to give us independence if they defeated the allies in World War II . They were using INA to capture India as a colony.3 large number of Indian POWs were killed or tortured by Japanese for refusing to join INA. Bose never questioned the Japanese. 4 After the defeat of Japan in August 45 Bose was trying to escape from Farmosa after the Japanese did not gurentee Bose protection against capture and trial by the British. Goswami should check his facts before conducting such debates.

I agree with Justice Katju. People you need to understand that Congress has glorified all the people who were against British. Most important fact, there more people who were in support of British at the time of 1947. Less than 40,000 people supported Netaji Subhash but 25 lakh fought against Netaji and fought for the British. So there is nothing wrong in supporting British and being against Netaji today also and I also stand by it. Any ways, we were better as a British colony, no doubts about it, all development given to us has been by the British, nothing happened in the 70 years congress rule. I want British rule back.

He is a very good expert on legal affairs but surely does not know the history of Kashmir! Genuine history-Who were the Chaks? They were pure Aryan Darads (cousins of Kashmiris) and spoke Shina a cousin language of Kashmiri. These Darads soon converted to a fine religion Semitic-Islam from Buddhists and Hindus. Most converted to Shia Islam. The Darads are physically super-powerful and very warlike ferocious fighters. Yusuf Shah Chak was a Darad from near Gurez and from a family of recently converted people to Shia Islam. His relatives the ferocious warriors were Shankar Chak, Lankar Chak, Pandu Chak, etc. It is well documented that he led a small Kashmiri Army and decimated the huge Army of Emperor Akbar more than once. There is no controversy on this whatsoever. Markandey Katju is certainly a very good legal expert but clearly does not know the history of the region of Kashmir. I was posted in Kashmir and studied her and her people. Katju must read the Rajatarangini translated by the brilliant Sir Marc Aurel Stein. This history has been proven to be as accurate as is humanly possible during that period. The Aryan Kashmiris have not only been creative but extremely war-like people though they lacked numbers. Yusuf Shah proved this beyond any doubt. Earlier on Mahmud of Ghazni who conquered parts of Iran and the Indian subcontinent was thrashed by the Kashmiris and barely escaped alive. This is only the tip of the ice-berg. The cousin of Babar Mirza Haidar Dughlat was liquidated and his army made captive. Paradoxically Katju himself is a pure Kashmiri Brahman and this microscopic community is known for their mental and physical abilities. The great wrestler Gama Butt was from a converted Kashmiri Brahman family. Ignore the planted history by Wikipedia; this has an agenda.
