Definitely a ford fan here. But that’s a sharp looking truck.

Damm dude you done a hell of a job on building that truck and wiring it tuning is not all about timing sometimes less timing is good on a turbo application I think you need a loser converter and some dump valves get in touch with circle d or Hughes they will get you fixed up and there tuning classes you can take thru Holley but you will get there I’ll tell you a great place to start on learning to tune is Devan Vanderhoofs channel. Also you should had seen my first car I wired lol it was a mess the key with wiring is Patience and doing it correctly the first time also Holley has a self learning curve that the more you run it the more it learns and uses what your engine wants if it’s turned on but cool truck man and great job you should bring it out to Mexico 🇲🇽 with us one of these days when it’s fixed and lined out.

That is super clean. I just got a truck to daily so I can start building a new motor for my 94 cobra and have a tow rig. Now I kinda want a race truck 😂

More timing you pull the faster it build boost
@RegularGuyGarage2 жыл бұрын
Problem is the converter is too tight and when I pull timing it lugs the motor down

Maybe I leave around 5 degrees on the holley then bring back in

I had the same problem on my brake. I do 42° til 3lbs then yank the timing out. Waiting to put my new PTC in. Mine is way too tight now
@RegularGuyGarage2 жыл бұрын
I’m going to try a dump valve setup first. If that doesn’t work then I’ll change converters. PTC is the way to go imo
@BmoreFox2 жыл бұрын
@@RegularGuyGarage haven’t put mine in yet but I hope it fixes the issues I’ve been struggling with for a year. It’ll build whatever boost but hits a wall at 3400 & takes about 5-6 seconds.

What do you plan to do with old shifter after you replace it?
