My Prom SUCKED! It’s not even the prom’s fault. I just had a horrible time because of reasons and now I wish I could forget it even happened. It was truly a series of unfortunate events. So come along with me as I recount days of old and hopefully entertain all of you for this 100th video of mine X3

I didn't enjoy my prom that much either. I mainly just sat with one of my friends and my sister and watched everyone else dance. I swear it's just like Valentine's Day: it's harder to enjoy when you don't have a boyfriend/date. And I didn't want either one! 😤

I never went to prom. My ex stood me up. A year later she invited me to her prom and stood me up again. Needless to say, we are no longer together and I pretty much swore off relationships for life.

Prom is even worse when you mentally and emotionally mature faster than your peers. And early 2000's-2010's culture REALLY pushed the... "popular" school life thing in media (I always hated that, still do). I've never been to prom, but I did go to my first "school dance/ball" in the fifth grade. I ended up fracturing my wrist because I slipped with my minimal traction dress shoes on a floor covered in CFA nuggets and ice cubes. I never went to another dance after that.

I'm in my final year of liceum (high school in Poland) and I've decided to not go to "prom", because I'd die out of boredom there and I don't have any friends in my class. Thankfully my family did not force me to. I just need to find some special way to celebrate that day by myself

Also like that yule ball scene in harry potter , heck if there was’nt a space prom in star wars that luke skywalker held in for his padawan students and he even changed the jedi code except kept the few ones like gaining personal wealth all that time , so i think that should work and he let his padawans have the time of there life . And he sat there drinking like an Aro Ace he is , also this never happened at legends book at all , this was just my interpretation and the disney f-up the sequels and trashed the beloved characters ! .

Yeah, unless you have a date, you at least were lucky to have someone to go with. For me it's pretty much a huge let down. My prom made me depressed in some way deep down in my heart. While masking my pain from rejections and never being asked once. I couldn't find a date, nor didn't have a boyfriend at the time. My high school fantasy dreams of hoping to have a date or boyfriend felt grey and gloomy. 😢 I wasn't much of a dancer, so I sat in a corner most of the time. because I was Shy and scared to look weird if I dance weird in high school unless you dragged me on the dance floor. At least I got to wear some pretty dresses as well go to a party afterwards to snack in comfy clothes and stay up until midnight. which is why I say that my prom was grey. I wish I had confidence to ask any of my friends if they had any guy friends that are single or need date to prom. Sadly I have hard time look at my prom pics because my mom wanted me to get a spray tan to help hide my acne scares on my arms. There is a picture of that I want to burn because I don't look good in a spray tan.

Growing up I've always saw in movies this prom thing, and i've always tought to my self "wow, that might be such an overwhelming experience", cause in the movies they portrait as being such an important event, and i've always felt so bad for the outcasted characters ya know, i can't imagine the anxiety this brings. But well, good think that this doesn't happen in my country, not in this way at least. When i graduated from high school, the school made a costume party, with music, and a buffet (i just went because of the buffet), and there was like, no competition for best costume or queen and king of the party, no, just people having a good time, no preassure. It was awsome.

Funny thing is, I was homeschooled so we called it a formal. Basically a bunch of homeschool parents would rent out a fancy place to give us the "Prom Experience." I never did it for a few reasons. 1. It would cost about $70 to go and I didn't have that kind of money. besides I wouldn't have had fun due to... 2. None of my friend where going and. I didn't really know anyone there. Couple this with me being a socially awkward teen, and I would have been there alone all night because 3. I didn't have a date for the thing. Nor did my friends lol. Over all I don't mind it at all. sorry you didn't get to enjoy yours but at least it's in the past.

Great video! I am happy to say my prom was a good experience even though my family basically forced me to go 😅 I wore something that made me feel pretty, and was with the love of my life, it felt surreal honestly. I’m sorry your Prom experience wasn’t the greatest. You deserve a prom do-over.

It was forest green. My idea going into it was I wanted a red dress. I love the color red and black so if it wasn’t a red dress I would have wanted a black or maybe purple dress, but I wasn’t apposed to blue or green either. I tried on a bunch of different dresses having gone to a dress shop that specializes in prom and homecoming dresses. All of them were nice, but then this forest green one shows up and I try it on. It felt so good. I felt the most beautiful I ever felt in my life (which was a lot and overwhelming). I was having a full on say yes to the dress moment when I felt like it’s the one. My mom didn’t like it for some reason and I called my partner wanting their opinion and they adored the green dress on me, but said they wanted me to wear what I loved and I honestly loved the green dress (also forest green is their favorite color so they were also biased, but would have loved me in any color dress). My mom wanted me to try on a blue one but I literally couldn’t imagine myself in anything else but to please my mom I try on the blue dress but the green dress felt like the one and I felt so comfortable in it and I guess my mom could see how much I adored the green dress so I got the forest green dress. It also had POCKETS, which was a huge plus. It was a stressful situation picking out the dress though since I felt pressured to wear what my mom liked on me, even though my mom isn’t going to Prom. It gave me a slight future look at what wedding dress shopping may look like and I am honestly dreading that since I got very overwhelmed for prom so wedding dress shopping will probably be that but 10x worse, but nonetheless I was happy with my forest green dress and my partner wore the exact same color tie to match which was really cute. I do hope if marriage is something you want that you find the dress that you want to wear and feel comfortable and beautiful in it ❤

I was an introvert who wanted to do extroverted things as a kid. And in highschool i had a pretty decent Junior Prom. The only problem i had was that i had to go home early...like way too early...10pm early. Because i was hitting a sugar crash. The theme of the prom was Sweet Memories and everything was candy themed and there were sweets as far as the eye could see. And me having the biggest sweet tooth in high school just filled a bag with as much candy i could fit into it and my belly. :p but the weird thing with me is that ever since i was a toddler i never experienced a sugar rush in my life. After having so much candy i would usually skip right to the crash. And while my family does have a higher chance of getting diabetes, i showed no signs of having high blood sugar during these episodes. in fact it was rather stable for hours after my sugar cravings had been satisfied. My parents think my metabolism may have just been a little too fast which is why i would skip to the crash easily throughout my childhood. Aside from that i had fun partying in a limo with my friends (none of us had dates but we made the most of it), dancing, chatting, and catering to my sweet tooth. My younger brother, on the other hand, did not have a good experience with prom. In fact his prom was so bad it actually got the principal and superintendent at the time under investigation of hemmoraging money from the student funds and college scholarships. Because my brother's prom was not catered, was not held at a special venue, had no dj or music in general, and due to incompetency from someone on staff, got cheap dollar store sunglasses instead of Prom Glasses one were to serve a beverage in. Lets just say a lot of students and their parents were pissed off which is what sparked the investigation in the first place. Especially with the fact that a lot of parties and activities that the school would hold for students when they reach a certain grade was cancelled when my brother's class reached that grade and would suddenly be reinstated the year after only for that grade as if they were purposely trying to exclude my brother and his class. So i felt bad that he was yet again screwed by our school and its very suspicious actions. And considering the two of us already put the school under observation of local law enforcement due to us having been sent to a mental health hospital on multiple occassions for them overlooking the bullying issue in the school, i am surprised that the school is still open.

Hey, I'm really sorry about how your prom experience went. Honestly, high school was a crazy time. As for me, I went as a plus one to my friend's prom. The thing is, this prom was during the covid pandemic. Therefore, this one was improvised. There were mini activities spread out across campus, which caused the place to be less crowded. The best part was that the loud dancefloor was moved all the way to a field, which means no sensory overload for me! My friend and I went to eat at a nearby restaurant afterward, and I'd say it was one of the best but rarest experiences I had from high school. If it was a regular prom, it would have been a big heck no from me due to for obvious reasons, and I probably would've been stuck with my now ex, who was toxic.

To be honest, I didn't want to go to my prom because 1. I didn't have a date and 2. I didn't want to have my family spend any money for something I didn't want to do in the first place. I'm glad I didn't go because I prefer being home body and didn't want to go to something as superficial as senior prom.

My prom was mediocre. Autism and prom don't exactly mix, and the dance floor was just... LOUD. The only things me and my prom partner did were look at memes with each other and eat prom food.

My prom was also pretty ... interesting I guess, I also didn't go to my Junior prom, and I partially went to senior prom out of a weird feeling of obligation. I was approached a few weeks before prom by a member of my friend group who said that a girl I happened to have a crush on during the previous year would probably say yes if I asked her, so I did; she said yes, and we actually had a great time together. The rough part was when I did far too many spinning moves on the dance floor and ended up vomiting on the way to a toilet (thankfully I was at least in the bathroom). After that, the rest of the event was pretty fun, so was the after prom we went to.

Now that I went through you story. I had a similiar experience, hate parties, disliked how I looked, my hair, dress, shoes. I didn't want to dress. Glad my friend saved me with us getting a beer at the end. The only positive of it. So you're not in this boat alone. Hope you doing better now :3.

I never knew that there really were bad prom times. I mean I can remember my two times, the junior one where I did have a date but with a...disabled boy. And my senior one where I was with a group of friends. My times weren't as bad as yours, but at the same time, mine didn't feel spectacular. It felt like I "needed" to go as a tradition, and it just felt like and party I been to after something as big as a wedding. Like I went for a prep, had a "Promanade" Parade, had prom with typical music, and pretty sure there were "after prom parties" like one was at a bowling alley. Honestly, I guess it's thanks to the parties I been to or required to go to, that I feel boredom from parties now. I just like to hang out at home, and get excited on drawing...if I can focus. Guess it made me the introvert today. So sorry you had a bad time.

Sorry all that happened to you. My Jr. Prom wasn't terrible, just kinda forgettable, the only thing I remember about it was what I wore, mainly because of the fedora I had on. But my senior prom on the other hand was a completely different experince! I won't go into details, but it was 100% better. Either way, sorry your prom didn't go as you hoped it would. I don't plan on going to prom because I am an introvert as many are who hates parties and is awkward socially. One of My biggest accomplishments is having a group of friends. I have drama we all do and a bit trauma but it's fine and I hope you look back at this memory to remember proms suck and so do most parties. I hope you enjoy life. I have a story that is from the lead up to prom. I was in a school play at the time, and there was one girl in my class who was in the play with me. One day, she approached me during rehearsal (because I was super shy boy that could never approach a girl on my own) and asked if I had a date to prom yet. I said, "No," which was the truth. And she said, "You need to gather up courage and just ask someone. Anyone would go with you. I would go you." And I was so extremely oblivious that I didn't realize that she was doing all she could to tell me to ask her to prom without straight up asking me to do it. We both ended up getting our own dates for prom, but there's part of me that looks back on that moment from time to time and laughs at how I was so oblivious that even the stereotypical oblivious boy would tell me that I was oblivious.

Hi i'm srry to hear how your prom night went :( We don't really have prom in my country so as a huge introverted i surely dodged a bullet. The closest thing I experienced that was similar to one was a little dance event at the end of my elementary school year in the room they used for hip hop. Since we were kids we just danced and hanged out with friends waiting to be able to play outside and the event wasn't long so it was just a bit akward I believe xd Also your drawing is very cute 👀

I didn't have any real friends in high school and in school in general. And it was my fault, for as long as I can remember I constantly ignore any potential friendships during my childhood, I will always sit by myself during lunch and Recess. The time I ever interacted with people is by group projects or hanging out with my sister's friends (who is way more socially active than me). This is the reason why people label me as the quiet girl and because of my disability I was always doing weird shit to which made everyone ignore me even more. I went to prom with my sister and her boyfriend. I wanted to have a date, I wanted to dance (but I couldn't dance), I wanted to be at a limo, I wanted to chat with friends, And take a bunch of photos, but I didn't got any of that. I wanted to be social but I always get ignored, everyone I talk to prefer to be with someone else. I was the third wheel of my sister and her boyfriend, so I just walk around the area all by myself. And while my prom wasn't bad I still felt pain inside me. I kinda I made friends when I was younger because now it's harder to do so as an adult. Anyway I kinda relate to your story, Aloe. Then again, with how things were going on at home, it's hard to tell of whether I'd actually go or deal with the mess going on back then.

I went with my best friends and some other girls, but I only went because I was told I’d regret not going. I got diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome before I was even a teenager, plus I’m also introverted. I mostly stayed with my best friend (the one I’ve known since I was 8). All I ate there was diced tomatoes with cheese and three strips of roast beef (I think? Maybe steak. I’m super picky). All the desserts were cheesecake, which I hate. Prom wasn’t memorable for me, though there is an after prom picture with me and my childhood best friend I still have (both picture and best friend). I stayed the night at my other best friend. On the plus side, I rode in a limo.

I probably wouldn't have enjoyed prom if I went to it, it happened to be on my birthday so I decided to enjoy it with my family, I had fun and ate my favourite foods so I personally think I chose the correct choice. I know I'm late but congrats on 100 videos!

🪩 Well, I am not from a country that does "prom", thank goodness, because I HATE parties (fellow introvert with undiagnosed social anxiety here 🥲✋️). But honestly? Every time I *was* forced for one reason or another to attend a social event with my schoolmates or other people my age, my experience was always pretty similar to yours. Just sitting on a table trying to exist inconspicuously until it was time to leave. So believe me, I COMPLETELY understand the feeling. But it's great that you were able to get a lesson out of this. And thankfully, those days are behind now. 😅

I didn't do much dancing at my prom, but it was fun. Wearing a dress my grandma made, first time war make-up and going with a few friends. Really sorry your experience wasn't that good, but your dress looks/ed very pretty.

I know I commented on your original video and remember how sad your prom was. But of course, you deserve better than this and you never know the next time you'll do it again but better. Some people never go to the prom instead they go to someone's else wedding as a prom replacement because they want to experience more with their friends & family. I understand it's hard to forget prom but remember these experience is part of you who you really are as a person (that time you were SO young). I know your parents were proud of their young daughter who went to an awesome prom but in reality, you weren't that happy... so it's okay. Let them be happy and keep them as memories. ❤❤

I DID go to my senior prom, but because I was hopelessly single and my left knee had popped out for a third time which caused me to not be able to move as quickly as I used to, I just sat at a table, ate some of the food, downed some sodas, then left before the King and Queen were announced.

I'm sorry hearing what you been tho,I'm not from west centurys but here i from there two ver of prom the first one I can call a middle school the prom (9th grade age of 15)(elementary school and middle school are the same place here) highschools are a different place some of high schools I'm from are about the future job of the student the second prom is high school prom age of 18 completely different from the high school prom that we seen on TV but my highschool prom was boring for me and my male friend because the music was songs in my native language but me and my friend don't like listening to that type of music mostly listen to songs in english the only time that the music was in english was when the band and dj that the high school got to do music was when they were eating and that's it in my mind I thought:Why don't they're play english songs! This is so boring also when me and my friend were leaving by his words it started to be good rather than boring because some people started doing a conga line

In my country (Slovakia) and also Czech Republic we have something similiar but we call it Stužková. It is very same to Prom with few differences. On Stužková the students are getting green ribbons🎀 with their names on as a symbol of hope to get throu the senior year of school. We also sing a song called Gaudeamus Igitur (from Latin word= Lets be happy, while we are still young ) before having dinner. Outside of dance we also play games like Tombola which is basically a lottery where you can win a reward or show program that the students prepared like singing or playing a scene. I for example played on clarinet as part of the program this year .

Sorry to hear about that your experience was a mess, though yeah what's done is done. Personally I never was that interested in going to prom back in my highschool days (which was about a decade ago, damn how time flies 6_9; ). Never really saw the appeal of it back then and still kinda don't now. I know when I mentioned this to my mother she was a bit surprised but thankfully she understood me and no pressure was there. Honestly Prom just felt like those old school dances from back in my middle school days but just fancier and expensive and I had my fill of dances back then. While it would've been nice to chat with the few friends I knew of back then in HS, I was personally content with just staying home and enjoying my free time with either my consoles (wii-u, 3ds, etc) and playing online multiplayer in mm8bdm and doom 2 via doomseeker, a bit too much I did back then admittedly, but I enjoyed the time I had with the folks I met through those servers and still do with the few I befriended and still keep in contact with. I guess the jist of this is Prom is just something I never really cared about and more power to those who cared about it. I just spent my time with things that I'd know I'd enjoy more than just sitting around not doing much at junction that I had no interest in. I never went to any kind of school dance (homeschooled) but I did go to a few prom style dances at a camp I went to every year. I have never really enjoyed them. I liked getting dressed up in a pretty dress (usually home made that I designed myself) but I didn't like dancing, there was not much else to do, and I usually didn't have many friends. I also found them very over stimulating, but the camp had really strict rules about being in the cabins without a camp leader around, and they wouldn't let me go to my room until it was over, so more than once I ended up sitting outside on one of the very few chairs and crying because I was so tired and over stimulated.

Prom was definitely a waste of time for me too. I got invited by a friend that went to public school, though I was homeschooled, and I hated it lol. The best part, for me, was dressing up. I wish I would have went home after dinner because the rest of time was a waste. I hate dancing and I’m not fond of jerks. Soooo I would rather dress up for fun at home and take pictures with my family and animals lol. Btw going to prom with a guy is cool on the outside but it really ain’t great unless you are the once in a lifetime couple that is going to stay together after high school and get married xD. I honestly am satisfied and look more forward to having a romantic relationship when we are older and more mature.

Prom wasn’t a very good night for me for multiple reasons. One my crush was going with another person. Two an ex friend was invited that I didn’t really like but I didn’t want any of my friends to dislike me so I had to keep quiet. At one point I was getting over stimulated so I had to go outside and then started crying because I couldn’t hold myself together.(started to think about said crush and a bunch of other stuff which made me feel like shit) A friend and some of the teachers at the school where able to find and eventually comfort me. Though watching my crush and said date still hurt but I had to keep it together for the rest of my friends. It just wasn’t really overall a good time for me.

I never went to prom cuz 1. My (ex) partner didn’t want to go, 2. Too expensive, already going through financial issues, and I saw no reason to go, and 3. 2020-2021 (we all know what that meant: pandemic). I’m still glad I didn’t go since, as implied, me and my ex broke up after high school. I do wish I was able to wear my dress during that time though.. along with go with my current partner because he wasn’t able to go to prom either but it was due to personal reasons.

I went to prom as a sophomore (I'm a senior now) because my then friend now ex boyfriend who I had a crush on at the time (long story) didn’t have a date, so I offered to go with him. It was...quite boring, if I'm being honest. They spent most of the budget on an expensive venue and the DJ sucked. We also spent a lot of the time trying to avoid the girl he had a crush on. So...that was interesting.

My school didn't have prom my mom still tried to make me go she wanted me to go to a different high school's prom I didn't have any friends in my school, partly because of myself and partially because of weird circumstance anyway, I was actually the only boy in my graduating class of 10 and my mom suggested I take everyone on one hand, I would have had no idea what to do and it would have been awkward, on the other, it might have been good for me to interact with a bunch of people, I haven't been to a party since I was in elementary school

At first I didn't want to go to my Prom, but when I was sure that a few of my friends were going I decided to go. Now I didn't worry nor care about finding a date, because 1- I didn't have anyone I like, and 2- I didn't care and it wasn't such a big deal if I go alone while my friends had dates. I managed to find a great dress that I actually like and at a good price, my hairstyle was the same as yours *Allou* but shorter and honestly didn't look good on me but I was still okay with it. When I got to the Prom I was excited to see all my friends, among them one guy didn't have a date either so we decided to dance together and it was fun, there was even a moment where we even switch partners as the song kept going and it was so hilarious 😂 And it was like that throughout the whole night, so when it was one hour before Prom was over, I decided to have one last dance with my friends only this time I took off my high heels and dance barefoot, and I wasn't the only 🤭 All in all, I surprisingly had a nice Prom night. I'm sorry that you couldn't have a good Prom night at yours Allou, it didn't need to be big or perfect but at the very least it would have been nice that you could have enjoyed it even just a little and keep it as a good memory But I'm positive that God will take you to places that will be ten times better than anything you could have imagine. I never went to prom, but I went to girls' pref. (Idk if other schools did this, but my school did. It was a school dance that took place in october.) I asked one of my fellow bell choir guys out as platonic neutral people to go with. Because I had a crush on a few guys who I never once spoke to and wasn't going to. He said yes and said we were going to dress in fedoras and trenchcoats like the "mafia." So I get a trench coat and tie my hair into a ponytail and wear a fedora. HE didn't even bother to dress, and it was his idea! I went on a "double date" with my friend and another guy and we went to the dance. It was- unpleasant. The music was loud and it was hot in there. When the slow dance started, my friend and her date started dancing. And I looked over at my date and shook my head, then did a bunch of twirlies in the clearing and then proceeded to leave the loud gym and crawl up into a ball and take a nap somewhere in the hallway. Then FINALLY we left. I'm never going to a party again. It was too loud for my sensitive introvert ears. Huge applause for you aloe for having the courage to ask people put in the first place because high school me, never could rip :)

It was just to commemorate 100 videos. I thought it would be cool to redo my first video since that first one was so rough and I had no idea what I was doing XD So, I just wanted to see the difference in production value and how I approached things in this video style vs the first one. I can't even remember my prom. I have two pictures of me and my date, but I don't remember dancing or the music. I do remember that after the dance the school rented out a movie theater and we watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which while fitting (I guess), didn't make much sense to me. Why would they pick a movie that came out the year most of us were born? Why not a movie we grew up with? I actually went to prom twice since my girlfriend at the time was a year younger. I can't remember anything from that prom either, except that once again the school rented out a movie theater and we watched Napoleon Dynamite (which I thought was funny, but my date didn't). Anyway, while I realize that prom CAN be a big deal for some people, I can't stand how many cartoons shove in a prom episode just because, despite it making no sense. 🪩 I'm sorry about your bad experience, but in the words of Crush 40, "Live and Learn"

I only went to prom to see one of my friends because we had gotten all of our credits early so we didn’t need to be at school for the second semester of our senior year. Also you know ✨food.✨ Anyway my friend did kinda have a date so obviously they would sometimes be on the dance floor. I stayed sitting at our table with our belongings and going to get food every now and then. I only went to dance to one song I forgot what it’s called but everyone knows it. Then I went back onto the dance floor since they were doing prom king and queen. I really didn’t care. After that the floor got a bit crowded and so I got overwhelmed and my friend urged me to go sit down. (I love them🥲)That was when I cried a bit. I am very introverted and also shy. I do not like crowds and craziness. My friend made sure to check on me even when they were on the dance floor most of the time. They would come back to the table every now and them so prom wasn’t all that terrible. Really it was kinda boring. I don’t know why people hype it up honestly. Maybe if you’re a party person you’d like it. Before prom actually started I did get get a lot of people liking my dress so there’s that. And while waiting for my friend I did make other friends. So yeah it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t the best thing ever. I was happy to be home with my siblings and mom. 🥰

I don’t know if I really would want to go to prom. If I had one reason to go to prom, it’d be to hang out with friends and put something formal on me that makes me feel euphoria when I wear it. Even then I’d probably either be a wallflower or infodumping about whatever I’m into senior year or what’s going on in my life, the only in between is the combination. Even then I’m probably going have really bad regrets if I end up being a wallflower. 🪩
