I appreciate you bringing this up. Nobody talks about this when lifting an IFS vehicle. The vehicle has too much lift and no droop travel at ride height, thereby causing your harsh ride. Usually on your average half ton you can't lift the vehicle more than 1 1/2 to 2 inches without running into this problem. Also since the coil over limits the droop travel these huge spacers on top will accelerate the wear of your front end. Nice video thanks.

The new thing on the block is called preload spacer. It gives you lift by spacing the upper coil over and pre-loading the spring. it allows you to have a slight bit more of droop travel while also pre-load the spring for Lift. This usually only works with a factory coil over though.

Now what you said was exactly the words I was trying to get up and I appreciate that because sometimes it’s kind of hard for me to describe exactly what’s happening, but you nailed it right on the head and other people have told me that no it’s your tires or something elsebut I appreciate your input because you’re exactly right thank you for watching my videos I appreciate it

Man you make great videos sir! Just really easy to listen and watch. I actually was on the fence about that same kit vs a traditional 4inch lift. After watching I realized I should spend the extra money and get the 4inch. Thank you.

I use to have a 6 inch Rough Country lift and 35s on one of my past F150s and that thing rode like a damn stage coach. Looked good though.

Also Vertex adjustable coil overs from rough country you control the dampening. Soft to hard.

Will have to say it's not the control arm.. Remember the control arm will get to that angle on its own on the down travel going over pot holes or bumps... That control arm improves the ball joint angle to reduce wear... If the control arm was installed wrong with it down down, that could be a issue... Second those shocks are more of a issue gaurenteed.. Went from the same set to a vertex set, and night and day... I can say for certain that if the control arm was installed right, and those shocks are broken in.. That its not the control arm.. Tires, harder side wall you'll feel, upgrade to better shocks, big difference.. But the control arm isn't the issue, a friend of mine took the control arms from a rough country 3 inch lift kit with n3 struts/ shocks ( he worked at a Offroad shop). And installed his new vertex 3 inch lift Coilovers with 1 inch lift spacer and shocks to with them see if it was possible before installing his 4 inch kit.. And aside from the track width being alot narrower then the rear when resting, and I'm sure putting strain on the drive shafts. The ride on setting 3 was better than stock.. And after the complete 4 inch kit was installed, using the stock control arms as you do with the 4 inch kit. It rode very similar, as well the track width was better, looked better in that sence... And after his was done with the 4 inch lift with the same set of 3 inch lift coilovers and a 1 inch lift spacer, we drove his and mine and swapped to see if there was much of a difference.. And honestly there wasn't, aside from him being a inch higher, we're both running 35's.. Hope this is informative..

You have a nice looking truck and they didn’t need to cut ur crash bars! I have an 6” lift w/24”x12” rims wrapped in 35x13.5x24”on my F-150 and it ride’s smooth. I am about to raise it 2” more so I can put 24x14” rims w/35x15.5x24” tires on it

Maybe try getting taller knuckles? Or go full 4 inch with cross members and it will adjust all of the suspension instead of the top end.
@bkolvet6 ай бұрын
Did you tighten your upper control arms while they were in the lower position? Do you remember how your stock arms were in the up position until you loosened them? If you tightened the new arms in the down position they don’t want to move up. That’s why it’s so rough.

super duties have a factory rake too. The Tremor package doesn't have a rake. But super duties are work horses so they have a 2 1/2 inch rake so accommodate that
@edwinguinyard21910 ай бұрын
Tommy, it's not the upper control arms designed, it's your tires, because of the harder compound of the tires it's a more off road tires. I had to tell Q with the red truck the same thing. Now my 325-55-22 pirelli's I don't get nor have that. I'll call you tomorrow

Literally every truck has rake, seems smart to have rear sitting higher than the front. Since people use trucks to tow. Not everybody wants to lift or level their truck. Seems pretty obvious. Common sense. Did you adjust your headlights so you don’t blind other drivers?
