Was told this will cancel your warranty. And it may wear out ball joints
@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Жыл бұрын
It could effect the warranty on steering and suspension components only if the dealership chooses to go that way. It does put more stress on those items.

Thank you for the video, I was able to clean all the rust but unsuccessful in putting the shock assembly back. Unable to take out the two bottom studs 😔

Oh, bummer. You can wack them with a hammer. Just be careful not to mess up the threads.

Thats a bad idea you can tell the upper control arm hitting the coil.you should change the upper control arm about 2 inch or longer spindle .. i install it in my truck and tthe ride is wiered thats why i take them out... be safe
@PIPSBURGHVIEWS2 жыл бұрын
I does put a little more stress on the control arm but I have never seen any issues after they have been installed.

@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS well I’m glad that I watched your video because I had the tire shop install that for me because I also bought new wheels and tires put on my 2018 F-150. I’m sure that I could have done the lift kit myself, there’s actually a lot of stuff to do and plus they did a front end alignment after the install. So by watching your video I now know that I made the right decision to just have the mechanic do it for me. I’m starting to get to that age where I just don’t feel like farting around with stuff like that anymore. You know what I mean? Life is to short and I have found that it’s better to just have a professional do it. Thanks for showing me all the stuff that was involved in putting a leveling in. Happy Holidays

You called it a shock about ten times, but it's a strut
@PIPSBURGHVIEWS3 жыл бұрын
Actually, I am right, struts are used when there is no upper control arm in the suspension design. This truck has upper control arms.
@dillhole38523 жыл бұрын
Actually your wrong. A strut is a coil and shock together in one unit. It goes up in the upper control arm in a f150. It goes right up through it
@PIPSBURGHVIEWS3 жыл бұрын
@@dillhole3852 sorry, you are incorrect.
@dillhole38523 жыл бұрын
A shock assembled with a coil spring is called a strut.
@PIPSBURGHVIEWS3 жыл бұрын
@@dillhole3852 not in this case, it’s a coilover shock.
