The bluegill in my state are a great meal for toad cruzing largemouth in the summer, and yes they are extremely shallow even in the 90 degree temps of summer!! Thanks for posting Randy!! And I’ve found that throwing a top water prop bait around the spawning area of these bluegill will get your string pulled for sure!!!

I fly fish for bluegill a lot in May and June with a bubble spinning set up. I see a lot of bass mostly small but some big ones too. I’ve had bass crush my clear float or sent it flying out of the water👍

Even actually onto bank in some situations, bass will crush a buzzbait,crankbait or jig,old school technique on slate banks

I am a bit confused as the last video I just watched you said "deep crank" in 5-10 feet of water and now you have said go deeper. I gues these are both viable strategies in june or is this lake dependent? I am in NE kansas.
