the independence of the parts is just stunning in this, keeping that bass and comping going while still keeping the melody clear and strong on top is just amazing. And he makes it look so easy and sound so smooth as well.

Totally agree Axe Man! When Martin first started playing I thought he had another track playing the melody. He is so talented, the independence of the bass, chords and melody is truly amazing! Plus, he plays with so much feeling that the flawless technique never overshadows the musicality.

What a stunning sense of rhythm and not a wrong note in a million. He is being bass, harmony, melody and drums all in one. What it must be like to have that command over the instrument and to know exactly what you're doing and how to do it. How many hours does it take to play this well? For most of us more than 2 lifetimes! And still we couldn''t play that well. Martin Taylor is the top of the tree. It doesn't get better than this. Great to see him and hear this.

Sumptuous. One of my all-time favorite players. I attended a performance of his at a small theater in Tucson, Arizona, and it was breathtaking. Thank you, Martin, for all the years of great listening.
