Jahnavi Raman it literally is. it’s basic common decency to consider your partner’s feelings. there’s boundaries and if your partner is uncomfortable with one being crossed and it’s reasonable, you should love them enough to respect it. for example, I’m naturally flirty because it’s just my personality. however, if I was in a relationship, I’d be way more mindful of how I interact with people that aren’t my significant other because it would probably make them uncomfortable, even if flirting isn’t my intention. it still doesn’t make them feel good. it’s good to be independent but being too independent in a relationship can be selfish if you only care about doing what YOU want regardless of how your partner feels.
