You should post a friendly disclaimer that before other people go out and try this, to exercise extreme caution as less than 10 seconds of direct sunlight into the lenses of your Quest 3 can brick it permanently. A painful loss of $500-$1000 because your visor was sitting in the passenger seat and light hit it for 8 seconds and wiped the lenses forever.

Surprised that you could manage to handle the wobbles for so long. I think a good Questperiment would be somewhere very crowded with good lighting (College hallway?, busy mall?, airport?) I don't think that driving would be smart, because of the lack of peripheral vision. It would be fun to see you go through an obstacle course though. Either driving in a safe place or running with stairs and things to avoid, etc. Interesting video!

The reason the footage is higher quality than inside the vr is because its hard to get the vr to sit perfectly on ur face like nearly impossible because you need to have the headstrap right and the space between your eyes

I just got huge idea 💡 , valerian movie the VR shopping center moment but for Walmart and instead of shoppers faces it's like a privacy shield for them I would go to Walmart with quest 3 it could make anxiety users more prone to leaving the house, if only ceos and other higher ups were paying attention, they could make the ar and VR next year

That was a really fun video. Imagine, if some developer out there would make a game where you actually have an AR interaction while shopping. The other shoppers could be zombies, or aliens, of some characters from the movies. When you reach for something on a shelf, some type of creature could jump out at you. Walmart could become a giant AR experience. I really enjoyed your shopping trip. Looking forward to your dinner date questperiment next. Also...I saw you had a BOBO battery attached to your headstrap. Maybe you could show us how you did that? I've tried but nothing is actually comfortable.

Bit of advice, Be careful where you copy this. Direct sunlight for even a minute can cause permanent damage to your headset and ruin the lenses. Even windows you probably want to be careful about.

Maybe the reactions were somewhat 'controlled' by the unsuspecting public because they also saw your husband recording the experiment- people are usually calm or conscious when they see a camera filming. It'd be interesting to see a similar experiment withe the quest user alone doing the shopping (accompanied by someone from afar for safety) and the whole thing can be recorded by an action or 360 camera hehe. Regardless, this was an interesting and cool video!

I got my quest a few days ago and my first impressions with the super hyped passthrough.....was an absolute let down. I kept asking "did I get a defective unit?" I don't think I did. I don't think I did. I just think every bigger VR KZbinr has been over hyping it and everyone is parroting it. It's better than the quest 2 black and white, but even in a very brightly lit room or outdoors, it's grainy and full of artifacts. I'm just not impressed based on what my expectation was from KZbin. I can read texts on my phone, but barely. It's hard to make out the letters in a text at least I can. Going on the hype though, I was under the impression it would be crystal clear and I'd be able to see my phone screen like I wasn't even wearing a headset.

Sometimes people are laughing when they see new technology usually because they have no ideea of what it can do. Eventually the will accept it. AR/VR will be used more and more because definetly its part of the future, many will argue, but when companies like Apple enters into the game its obvious where we’re heading. Im pretty sure we’ll soon have more affordable headsets coming in smaller size.
