That is not "work ethic". That is somebody doing what they love and have a passion for. You do not need an "ethic" to do something you love, properly. "Work ethic" is too often used to socially force people to work in areas they are not happy in, otherwise they have a "bad work ethic". It's not a one size fits all! You're the one admiring work ethic... Would you be happy working 14 days straight? If not, then it's not something to be congratulated. It's something to be understood as a very specific situation. If her youtube channel didn't show her life so much, I would be really concerned she had something bad going on in her life and was just burying herself in her work. That something else that happens to people too.

I like how you go to work early and just sit in your car for a bit to clear your mind and have some "mental sanity check". I unknowingly do that too and I personally find it as one of my most important routines of the day. I get to work early and just relax in the car for a bit to process how my day's going to be like. Maybe because the drive and traffic might have caused me to lose my mind a little too which is why I go to work early on purpose to cool myself down.

Sometimes floating can be a better thing than working on your own floor but it just depends on the situation. It's never something you want to hear when you first come in because a familiar hell is preferable over an unfamiliar one. I once worked 22 days in a row! It actually got easier rather than harder as the days went by.

Same!! I don't enjoy floating...but that's mostly because I work on an unit where the team is so awesome. We genuinely have so much fun together even when times are tough. Especially because I work in forensic psychiatry myself, and without my awesome team, I wouldn't survive. That's what ultimately drove me to get a FT position on the unit rather than have any chances of floating lol. The one downside is having a prime assignment/primary patients that don't change...and it isn't always fun to work with particular patients day after day.
