These stories lie about taking place in the U.S. to gain an American audience so they can get higher monetization. They actually come from Asia. That's why he kept bowing and never complained to HR. They don't have the same worker protections we have. Had this actually happened (most likely an ai written story) and actually occurred in the U.S. no matter the state the CEO would have fired her on the spot. She not only could have cost the company a potential client to satisfy her ego, she also would have been a class action lawsuit waiting to happen.
