So in Mario maker 2, there's this thing called global ground which forces anything that's on it to always stay there. The way despawning works in this game is if you move a certain distance away from something, it'll despawn, and reappear where it was placed in the editor. However, if that object is on global ground, it'll never despawn no matter how far away you move from it. And Dash blocks just so happen to be global ground. That's why the car wouldn't disappear when you moved away from it and came back.

23:25 A pow spawns from the pipe that Ryu enters to go into the muncher room, but he was too fast to notice it. You grab it and wait for the cannonball to fire and as soon as it damages you, you enter the pipe which allows you to carry the pow through the pipe. A common Uno Más that has been seen in recent times. So that's how you do it 👍

I'm not sure that is where the car doesn't despawn, because ik there's an obscure mechanic called "global ground" where some objects will never despawn if they are on top of a tile like that (I wanna say conveyors are global ground) but I have no idea if 3d world boost pads are global ground. If they are, then that would be why it didn't despawn.

I'm pretty sure, don't quote me on this, that dash blocks are global ground. Meaning that anything on top of them will _never_ despawn unless you reload using a warp door or pipe.

Creative Boo train, and darkness actually used for good effect (the train is lit up and always visible, there are other sources of light throughout the ride, and the lighting conditions fluctuate). With a funny 1-up troll at the end. Dark levels can be creative and fun to play given a good maker that understands game mechanics, it's just that 90% aren't. XD

Besides incorporating 100 man, I always thought MM2 should have a "super duper" expert mode with levels that are filtered with 2.5k plays but under 1% clear rate. With like 50 lives or something.

That ghost house level in the dark was pretty damn good and I want to use a similar idea for my next level. I haven't played that one myself yet, but that almost looked a little too easy to be in super expert. Maybe Ryu's skills just make every level look easy.

I think the last level there was an easier route if you jump up through the semi-solid after activating the bomb. It gives you extra height and removes a momentum killing back wall-jump.

It was creative, fair, but moderately challenging, with a true ending for those who complete its optional pink coin challenge, and an implied narrative even in how the big coin you nerd thats lighting up the caboose only becomes available after riding the train 🚆 to its full course.

The "pow block" was to take the bullet into the pipe (I THINK). Then use the bullet you brought to the other side of the pipe to get rid of the muncher. Yea.. glitched to no end if that's the case (= shouldn't be able to carry items through pipes or pick them up AS you're traveling through it xD).

8:31 i think cars do despawn, it's likely that the speed boost thingies are "global ground," so nothing despawns on them. I know clouds are in 3d world, and icicles used to be in other gamemodes.
